My grind rail is getting "burrs" in it?

so i have this small grind rail thats about 4 inches high made of steel. or iron or something- i cant remember but i know its one of them that should be perfect for riding on ( its obviously not aluminum.)

so i was in my backyard yesterday ridin it on my board and everytime ide catch an edge it would DIG into the rail and but a huge burr in it! resulting in the ultimate wreckage of my board,

so i was wondering why this is happening it never happens at ski hills with hundreds of people bailing on their rails so why would it happen to my rail? i may be a huge noob but i really wanna know

Well you may want to consider going straight on it and not sideways so you don't catch an edge.

Just kidding. It may be made out of a softer metal than what mountains use.

I always knew Scott Vail had a reason for going straight on rails.
I'm not sure why that's happening to your rail though.

it happened to my box. but mines all plastic. its prolly cuz u have a softer metal. did you try rounding the edges if they arent alreay? its easier to catch an edge on square rather than a circular edge.

Softer metal. Remember the rails at your mountain are constantly cared for when you don't see it. They will sand them down and it may depend on what type of wail it is. Flatbar- weight is easier to distrubute. Single barrel and weight is distributed on a very small part.
