MY GREAT SUMMER IDEA

K so i'm just comin back from my injury and skiing seems so sketchy like just going up the glacier and tryin to hit up the park.. so this week, at work we just got a hawaiian shave ice machine, so today when i was making my watermelon ice, i got the brilliant idea of making like 20 blocks of ice and by using the shave ice machine, shaving all the snow to use for an urban rail jib... you guys think it will work?

that ice melts super fast. just get a truck and go to an arena.

This ice arena thing sounds cool but does every arena do it? Where do they put the snow and how much snow is it? I live in southern california so the skate arenas here might might not do the same thing but I want to find one.

when the zamboni gets emptied all the snow goes outside the back door at my arena. its more than enough to make whatever you want to

i'd feel so retarded like standing outside the arena asking them for snow.. cause my stupid ice rink is like 2, and they put all the left over snow in between the two rinks, so its kinda gay and i would have to ask if i could get it. COMPLICATIONS.... but then again its a hell of a lot less work than shaving all that ice too.

i get the snow and put it in trash bags ( hardest part) then shove it in my dad's suburban and set it up pretty straight foward but do it at night when its like 45

ok here's what you cracked-up-jimmyheaded-special-kids can do.

1)Get a Truck! go to an arena and tell them you've got a gun.... errrr... maybe you could just ask them. the guy we talked to got the arena's tractor out and built up an inrun for us. Get the snow in the bed of the truck and put a tarp over the snow when you move it so it won't melt so much (and don't stop too quickly). Get some old carpet to put the snow on (It'll melt to fast on cement) and make wooden ramps if you need them, they'll make everthing a lot easyer. Then bob's your uncle and you're jibbin.

2) just find a place that has 4 rinks and they'll be enough snow that you can make an inrun and an outrun. It's the easyer of the two ways but the rail would be less exciting. And walking inside an arena in your ski boots gets a lot of stares.

So. yeah. one of those two works... or I hear the Opium in Washington is just devine.

yea my friends did the ice arena thing, it took all day to get enough ice thuogh, cuz the rink was only a one rink place

the ice-chipper thing is how they made the quarter pipe in the snowjam comps. those blocks of ice were really-heavy though.

everyone in seattle really needs to have an urban rail session. maybe il make thread about it later this summer.

That reminds me of this idea I once had. I was gonna pour water all over the floor in my kitchen and then when it was all evenly spread, I was gonna leave the freazer door open and shut all the kitche doors and windows. Then when I woke up in the morning BAM indoor ice skating arena.

i wanna do the whole dealie with the arena snow. i think im gonna wait for a cool rainy day day tho, there will be less snow meltage.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?
