Such an awesome story.

I put this in my threads about 4 replys in. I tried to contribute but the sickness of a cool community got it done before I could shuffle through my car for change.

Big respect to all that contributed to help this dude have an awesome story to tell with a smile.

If i hadn't of already contributed to NSers.com. I would of just by this thread.

This definitely should become more of a part of newschoolers. Not the giving money part as much as the generosity itself. That is what is made this awesome.

seriously dude. you helped out a able-bodied grown man who was too lazy to go out and earn an extra few hundred dollars for a toy that he can't even use where he lives. His wife should be fucking embarrassed at her decision.

it seems youll have a little extra left over between mailed money and the outrageous generosity of the paypal users, so maybe you could put the extra cash not spent on skis towards pekka or some other foundation? just a thought
 
dude has a daughter and another on the way, and has always gone out of his way to hook up other members of this site as much as possible, he had some good karma coming his way, and i think the amount of members who supported getting him these skis speaks volumes for how much this man has helped out this community. it certainly restored my faith in NS, whereas assholes like you diminish it.

bottom line, if you're going to tell people to donate to pekka (which i already did) don't be such a condescending prick about it.

what are you so butt hurt about anyway? that no one on ns would donate a dollar to get you a new pair of sticks?
 
I did get them and am super stoked!!!!!!! I will post pictures soon, but I wanted to get a pic with my kids standing in ski boots on them or something. Unfortunately my daughter is in the middle of just getting chicken pox, and of course my son is only 5 days old. So, once the fam is up and well I'll get a picture with the skis :) Thanks guys!
 
It boggles my mind that the thread about Pekka has so few responses while this thread has 7 pages. Not trying to be a hater, just saying I think all this money could have gone to a much better cause (i.e. someone who's recovering from a major life threatening injury and not someone who just wants a pair of skis).
