Yeah, that setup looks a little sketchy, but I hope it works for you. I went out and spent a good amount on a helmet cam from SportCamX, can't figure the damn thing out.

hahah looks like you just taped it on. What i did was i took a piece of 1/2 inch steel and drilled holes and made used screws and screw it onto the helmte, through the helmet up into the plate. then I drilled holes to match the pattern on my camera, then just put the screws into it. then its a solid base, and doesn't wiggle and move. its perfectly solid

that'll be really akward on your head I would think. I thought about doing that too. It'll be sweet if it works.

its not taped on, i removed a layer of the padding, then put a bolt through the top vent of the helmet, added a second layer of foam between the helmet and the camera, and tightened it down
its pretty solid, and doesnt wobble side to side, tho if i dont tighten it enough, it can twist a little bit, but the foam prevents most of that
