My Gaper in the park story

So I have been mostly skiing big mountain stuff this year (live in Park City). It is mid-week and I go to the go to the park and start getting back into the grove. Floating mellow 360's and working on a few grabs. My 3rd run of the day I come around to land and this woman is standing right in the sweet spot. I do a spread so I dont skewer her and basically wrap my arms around her and tackle her. She double ejects and I single eject. We slide a solid 50 feet. Her boyfriend/husband comes over and comes unglued and threatens to kick my ass. At this point I am so hopped up I kick of my other ski and say,"lets go you stupid sack of shit. You dumb fucks are in a terrain park right in the landing of a jump and are lucky your girl isnt fucking dead" As this is happening a crowd begins to form. He mellows out and one guy comes in (non local he had a lift ticket) and completely diffuses the situation, by explaining right of way, park rules, etc. Turns out she was posing for a picture!!!

At this point I bail and go ski the mountain for a while. I go to put my skis in the car and one of my skis the sidewall is blown out and my edge is separated from the base of the ski. This stupid cunt caused me to almost get hurt/ almost kill her/almost get my ass kicked and ruin a good pair of skis.

So the point of the thread is this:does any one know of an online place selling last years models of a good all mountain/park ski for cheap 179-185cm
 
It is right under the binding and only seperated a little bit but enough for water to get in and basically unfixable.
 
Call of Jibij. I'm sure he can give you a really good deal over the phone since he's closing shop in a few weeks. He's got some Blend's for $292, and some P3's for $239.

I seriously don't understand how people can be so stupid. Posing for a picture in the middle of a landing? What the fuck was she thinking?

that sucks.

im fine with people who r new to the park and r trying shit but i hate the peolpe who hav no clue what there doing and cut u off only to land on the back of the actual jump.

it sucks that u didnt find out sooner bout ur ski, cus i wouldve been like, u gotta pay for this.

but lit's been said, chack the warrenty, cus i cracked the sidewall of my Nordicas and i got them replaced for free cus of the warrenty.

whats almost worse is when the ski schools do lines through the fresh groomed park infront of the jumps/ roll over the jumps to flat

but that seriously sucks
 
word, i hate that, and they also take forever to get through.

but i love the little rippers that like throw a grab or something, u gotta hav respect for those tiny rippers.
 
I am a pretty happy person, for the most part, and I only get happier when I go skiing.

But when someone either cuts me off on the large jump line, or comes back to the same place I politely asked them to not be the run before, I feel justified in yelling a bit. If only they would enforce the park pass.
 
this is funny. i havent had stuff liek this happen to me this year. but today i was going into a rail and this gaper was cutting over and looked staright at me and kept cutting me off. also one was sitting on a box for a photo opp. I hate gapers. you should have just slapped a ho
 
That's rediculous, how can people be so fucking stupid. Honestly, are they not aware that they're in a terrain park. Are the clues not obvious enough? Big mounds of snow with people going over them....what could that be? I think i'll take a picture and see if my friends back in texas know.

some dumb ass asian snowboarding chick comes flying OFF the slope out of control onto a WALKING path behind a bus stop today screaming like WAAAAAAAAAAAA or whatever the asians scream when they get excited/scared. I'm like wtf she;s just gonna stop. nope, buddy ahead of my jumps out of the way (i couldn't really see her coming the whole way because i was behind him on a path about 4 feet wide). so now it's her and me, i juke right, she goes right, im like dumb bitch, so i jump left, kind of rotating on my left leg lifting up my right knee. she obviously then swerves to my left and i just completely clothes line her with my knee. she basically folds over my right leg and goes flying. i don't fall down because im the man. she was fine. dumb bitch
 
Call the manufacturer and see if they'll warranty it. They'll replace it w/the same ski if you're nice about it, but they'll probably send you to a shop to have the ski sent in.

levelninesports.com has last seasons skis. they will put the bindings on for free and mail them to your house. they are out of salt lake. they have a showroom there somewhere.
