you ever ski a nordica or elan? the ignition is a dope ski for park and all mountain riding. i haven't ridden the elan yet but will as soon as ontario gets some snow. to tell you the truth, the reason people don't ride nordica or elan IS because they're not "cool". you should see the amount of idiots i have to deal with on a regular basis telling me that my shop should be carrying line or armada because of how "bombproof" and core the product is.

for the guy with the torn out edge, dude that blows but you're not getting them covered by armada. if your shop is worth a damn they should either A) replace it or B) give you a discount on a new set. i've been saying this for a few years now but buy from the bigger companies because they're the ones with the money to take care of their customers.

 
umm, you kind of just pulled a bunch of statistics out of you ass. for one, since when was armada a big company and dynastar a small one? if anything, it is WAY more likely that they sold alot more dynastars than armada. armada is a small company; sure its super popular on ns, but its still a small company. anyways, i think thats basically all of these companies make good skis, it really is just what you like. i know people who have had armadas who have held up for years with almost no problems, and people who have destroyed salomons within the first few days of skiing them.
 
the other day i hit a rock on my ar5's at like 40 mph, the impact was intense, enough that I stopped to take my ski off to check out the damage.. barely noticeable scratch, i was pretty stoked.
 
I hate when people bitch about edges. If they saw the shit I ski on... If you hit rails, your edges will get owned. paying to have them fixes, just so they'll rip out again is stupid. if you're gonna piss and moan about your edges getting a boo boo, don't slide rails.

Yes I have ridden nordica and elan. Granted the elans i skid were a couple years ago but even then they were behind. The ski had almost no side cut and were extremely heavy. And i skid a pair of nordicas last year. They were a good ski all mt I wont deny that. But to me it didnt feel at home in the park. It felt more like an al mt stick than the right flex and specs for a park ski. Excuding durability (cause you are right on that point) if I could ski Nordicas along side a bunch of other skis i wouldnt pick them.
 
well. 9th ward isnt producing as many skis as salomon or any other company that you listed, so thats why tyou only fixed 1 pair. as far as skis go its just luck in my opinion. some salomons last forever, or crap out in like 2 days, same wiht a ton of companys. this topic comes up at the beginning of every season... it happens
 
I never understood that, just buy the skis which are the best for the best price. The core image is nice and all until the image is delamming on you. Personally I love k2, they are a HUGE corporation but they make extremely solid high quality skis.

don't worry about him. he obviously rides for armada and just needs to reasure himself that he's affiliated with a good company. sure if he busts a ski it doesn't hurt him in the pocket like it does most people that actually have to pay for their skis

 
hem...how about that elans are bombproof...not the 05 though. I have been riding the 06 prototype for 2 years every week ends and holidays...edges are still in, no delam but some chips... two of my friend warrentied their armadas, but got new ones so good service. but telling to buy from big coompanies doesnt solve the problem. edges ripped out of new 1080 3 years ago, they didnt do shit. and big companies did nothing for our sport? ahahahahahahaha salomon made a big chunk of the begining, right after line, elan with davo karnicar and the 7 summits and so on.
 
Bitching on NS won't fix your skis. Call Armada directly and see if they'll do anything. And be nice about it, bitching at them will probably only make them want to help you less.
 
well they cant be as bad as the line invaders were.....that was sad..... but ive seen about 6 ppl say they've had bad armadas. now when you look at it as just the people who have posted on this paticuallar post that may be alot....but if you look at everyone at a whole thats not much at all add a few more here and there.... noone before at my moutain i have seen broke there edges or skis with armadas....but armada makes a pretty nice ski (not to take anyting away from anyone elses skis)
 
armada doesnt take, like responsebilty (i suck in English )

on any other Impact or damage caused by rocks, stumps, rails or any other contact with a surface different than snow.
 
for the record

my shop does not sell dynastar , armada , ninthward , nor 4frnt..

these are simply kids coming in off the street with shit getting fucked some of them rip others not so much i will say this though 2 brothers 12 and 14 should not be blowing out edges on armadas 2 weeks into their first year skiing!

armadas edges have no teeth to give the epoxy in a ski something to hold on to i have been able to remove cracked edges with pliers.. not a good thing!

BUT I AM GLAD YOU TOLD ME HOW SHIT IS!
