my friends mounting problem

My friend has mad trixs (03/04) and he had them remounted at the ski shop at the hill. They already had demo bindings in but they didn't work well, so he put his old bindings on them. The shop mounted the new bindings on the ski backwards, with the black part in the front. Now the tail is higher than the tip and etc. so that means if they were to fix it, it would be the 3rd time mounting, which i'd say is bad. The ski shop is closed since the season is over. What to do?

yeah man, three times is sort of sketchy. There have been a couple of people who have snapped multi-drilled skis. Generally up to three is okay, but if you were to land hard on a rail I would think it might break. I could be wrong.

They fucked up mounting the ski. They'll try to tell your buddy that a third drilling isn't an issue, and they might be right, but well placed comments, letters and emails will get your bro a new pair of skis. Or should, rather.

he hasn't been able to contact the shop due to it being closed because of the seasons end

Perhaps a call to your friendly neighbourhood Head rep calmly and cooly explaining the situation would help. Go through another, much better shop if possible. And your friend should act as disappointed and as sad as humanly possible, and 'appreciate' everything the new ski shop does for him.

perhaps he didn't specify big mountain or big air mount. doesn't the mt haev two mounts? one where blue is int he front(mountain i think) and where blue is int he back(air). i might be wrong but you never know

i don't think they have the differnet ends like the old ones. the olds ones had big mountain and big air ends for sure. but the skis look pretty sick oi think i'm gonna get em.

 
keep trying to get ahold of them,if you cant contact the department of better business..they can usually get on their ass

at all the shops around my place there is that little sticker in the middle of the ski that says bigmountain(arrow pointed towards blue) and big air(arrow points to white). i still agree that he mounted it wrong for you since you obviously wanted blue in the back, just go back and slap him in the face.

 
The skis can be mounted to way big moutain or big air, in big air position the ski is actually going backwards, if your freind told him he was doin jumps or like freestyle, they most likely got mouted this way

 
Who wants a narrower tip than tail? Does turn initiation and turn release not matter at all to you people?

yeah the new ones has big air/big mountain, i saw them in a skishop with a sticker that said big air/big mountain... kinda hard to explain from sweden you know. =(
