Are they white? If so, the chance of them shooting him over a fight is 1 in a million. The kid is also friends with you, who skis, which most likely means you guys live in a moderate - high income community.

It's either call the cops or accept pain or even accept the jail time with basically no future because he shot a guy or had a gun at school.

Get him to walk outside. Just stand infront of them and have people behind him taping it and just stand and wait. If you must take the beating then use it as evidence when you sue them and get them to pay for your college tuition
 
There just trying to scare him, no one goes that far from a fight. And try your hardest to not let feds or any adults to find out, then they might actually shoot him
 
UP DATE My friend is fine. The kid who he is beefing with threw a part and some kid who also had beef with him went to the party and shot his brother and some other kid if you dont believe me check SPD twitter it was on saturday.
