I'm not entirely sure he's even made it to 26 miles on this whole journey. I'd say he's somewhere between 3/4 and 2.5 marathons combined in the last 15 months. I'm no math genius but I'm guessing that's a bit short of the "marathon a day" goal.

It sounded stupid but whatever people do weird stuff for no reason. His initial goal was somewhere around $500k. It kept changing throughout the year with the goal price changing, the descriptions changing, and the overall journey changing rules. People who donated in the beginning didn't donate for what it was by the end. This organizer of this campaign has the Instagram name: "runforlove2018". He has not run a single marathon but rather jogged a few times, and mostly car pooled across the eastern coast of Africa having a vacation with various locals and endulging in illegal drugs. At the very least he ought to be taxed as income purposes because what he is doing does not qualify as a charitable organization. He used people's goodwill to fund his spiritual journey vacation. It is wrong and now he's going on another campaign (which I have reported here). I think it's wrong and the people donating now have no idea what he did in the past. Please find a way to right this wrong.

Money Raised will go towards:

-Paying the Run For Love 2018 team the whole time I am away as there will be constant alterations and communication needed. They are humans that need money to live as we all do. Just because they are doing a good thing does not mean that they do not deserved to be paid = $100,000 USD

-Paying for a doctor and a project manager to join me for the whole trip, and paying drivers in each new country= $100,000 USD

-Paying for my media Team who will be with me the whole team and will be constantly liasing with local,international and social media contacts. Their job is very very important and they will also have many fees to pay ie visas, wages, equipment etc = $200,000 USD

-On the ground expenses = $30,000 USD (if this is not used then money will be dispersed between the different charities)

-Supplies, food, water etc =$30,000 USD

-Visas, flights = $8000 USD

-Miscellaneous problems fund = $32,000 USD (if this is not used the money will be dispersed between the different charities)

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page you can report the campaign. I just did and I imagine if they get enough complaints, someone from GoFundMe will actually look into this.

the guy used money he raised and spent it on tattoos, drugs, luxury resorts, fancy meals, flight tickets for family members, unnecessary flights and visas, he bought a camel in the Sudan, he hired locals to take him out in the Sahara desert for two weeks, and he did a ton of other foul and dishonest shit. Basically, the money spent went to go fund on big fancy vacation that has spanned over a year. He lied about donating money to local charities, amongst tons of other bad stuff the guy did. He is pure scum and a Shylock.

Thank you. I submitted a detailed complaint. What Nick is doing is the very definition of entitlement. He's stealing his donors' money to fund a personal vacation in a place where the native people could very much use the money to meet even the basic needs of life, including proper nutrition, clothing, and housing. Instead Nick travels like the entitled Westerner he is, uses illegal drugs (which can have serious repercussions in Africa) and continues lying to himself and everyone else about what he is doing.
