The world is a pretty scary place at the moment as hate and death continue to flood our news, eyes, and ears every second of every day. We are raising awareness for LOVE by fundraising for authentic and empowering charities. We are emphasizing the fact that we are all HUMANS and underneath our skin, we are all the same.

Join Nick Lawson as he runs solo from the Southernmost tip to the northernmost tip of Africa, journeying up the East coast and through 23 countries. He will make the journey the whole way alone, but he will never be alone because the whole world will be joining him in some way. Humans from every country on this planet will join him.

Bet the person gets a side cramp in the first few miles and decides to not run through an entire continent full of dangerous people, animals, and hot ass weather.

The above said, I watched his entire BS video. Even he did not know what his "cause" is. As I interpret it, he's a bum and is looking for a grand amount of attention and sees this as his opportunity. By saying the "in" bs statements, he's created a platform for himself.

I also do not believe he has a chance in hell of doing what he says he will. Sure, he will "accomplish" some "version" of this. Then he'll make a statement/video about how running was never the purpose, love yourself, yada yada yada. The same bs as everyone who starts something big and fails epically.

So, let's get some bets going on how many days he actually manages to run/walk a marathon before his first failure. I give him 17 days. It's certainly possible to run a marathon a day for a year (and it has been done before) but I do not see him doing it. 17 days.

Yeah word, seems like a pretty productive way of spending your time if you give it a shot, just seems like a dangerous place to do it but I guess we’ll see

Does he know what he's getting into? Not trying to be a dick, just curious. Africa is an awesome place, but it can be a fucking gnarly place.
 
What is the specific goal? Other than "I want to raise money for stuff and bring smiles to people". What is the real goal here?

Specific causes? Issues? It just seems so general.

I like that he wants to do something, but it seems so vague. As if he doesn't know anything about the continent or the issues. I think learning more would be a good place to start. Hell I know very little about the place. I just think there should be some specific goals. How much are you trying to raise? What issues are you trying to tackle?

It's important to know if you want people to donate and participate.

$100,000 USD for a media team? What - updating facebook and instagram accounts is job position worth $100,000 a year? I'm in the wrong industry...

$200,000 for 'on the ground expenses' - how is running through Africa (selection of poorest countries in the world by a huge margin) going to cost him $550 A DAY? What 5* hotels is he planning on staying in?

Absolute con. Doesn't even mention a true figure that's going to charity - only money that's 'left over' will go... hmm I guess how much that'll be... $20?

So you're saying he had such poor judgement concerning the location of the school that it now has to be moved, after only one year?

If you're so sure he will make it, how about we make a cash wager? You can donate your winnings to his crappy loving-himself platform if you win, and if I win I'll do something worthwhile with the money, like buy pretzels. How about we bet $200, and I'll pay up if he makes it to the 180-day mark. Heck, I'll do 2-1, and wager my $400 versus your $200 that he doesn't make it to 180 days. What say you?
