My friend fucked up.

I sat my parents down and talked to them. I have never ever seen them so angry. They immediately called the credit card company and canceled their card. Even though they cancelled it the credit card company is still charging them a fee of $2,200 because there was such a high balance when it was cancelled. Now they are saying that I am going to have to pay for it. I have a job but I only work probably 25 hours a week so it will take me awhile to pay this off.

Also I went over to my friends house and his parents were totally covering for him. I don't know what he told them but they were saying that he is too sick to see me. But then as soon as I was done talking to my parents they called his and apparently the conversation did not go well. I just got off the phone with him and his parents took everything from him, cellphone, laptop, gameboy, guitar. He is not aloud to do anything but go to school and come home for at least a month.

The thing that I am most worried about though is the fact that the mail order bride company still has not replied to my emails, so right now I am just praying to god that they have not yet sent the girl.

but can he cancel just one transaction without cancelling/freezing the card. beccause that could get pretty sketchy trying to hide it from the rents
 
this is going to be a great story to tell your grand kids, granted you have them. especially if the story ends in...and thats how i met your grandmother.

so do you have any proof of this happening. I find it hard to believe anyone would go into your moms purse and take her credit card? Just seems really fake to me.

All you can do now is wait and see if someone sends a human being to your doorstep.
 
if this is true, which i have more then a few doubts in its merit then i feel like your mom should have a stern frank talk with your friend and get her money back. or start playing to be a grandmother.
 
hope she arrives soon. sounds like you're getting lonely. and your friend is gonna be really lonely if he cant leave the house. you may wanna share as a way to thank him for sending you her...
 
No ones friend would take another friends mom's credit card without knowing that they would never be invited or talked to again by either of them.

If for some extremely strange reason this is true you really need to consider the friends you have and who you let stay the night at your house.
 
well, first off, you should have called the card company right away, canceled the charge, and canceled the card. then you should have kicked your friend in the face, THEN made this thread
 
Free time I usually spend near bay when the weather is good, but it is seldom happen in our country I lol'ed and 25-40 y.o i lol'ed again
 
Although this is terrible right now, you have to admit its going to be a great story to tell your kids and friends when your older.

You actually pay for the bride though? Is that legal? I figured that you more just paid for them to get into the country.

It's a fucking mail order bride WEBSITE and they're acting like you just committed a felony.
 
I am from Canada. Apparently it is set up like an extended vacation and then we are supposed to "meet" and "fall in love".
 
Oh fuck, come on this can't be legal. I don't know man 12 grand is a lot of money. If you don't pay though what can they do, it can't be legal what they do so the site could get in huge shit.
