My Eye hurts

No someone did not jizz in my eye, get over it
So my eye hurts, and I don't know why. Like I have no clue. I did get quite a poke from my friend in my right eye on friday while tramping but the one that hurts is my left eye. Like I said, I can't think of anything that could've caused it.
I just examined it in the mirror and there might be some slight swelling but its hard to tell. Also, the tiny triangular part between your nose and eyeball, (like the part thats inside your eye, you have to pull open your lids to see it) might be swollen a bit.
It hurts when I blink, and also when I look down with my eyes closed, like rotate my eyeball down.
Any ideas? Should I go see a doctor or is it just something that might go away with time?Anybody a doctor on NS or has experienced something like this, I'm kinda nervous some crazy shit's gonna pop outta my eye
 
i have had my eye hurt if i look any angle but staight but mainly when im sick, so i really have no idea.
 
ya I dunno I'm not feeling too sick right now, other than being tired and little bit sore from rugby so that's probably not it but thanks
 
eye infection? or sty maybe? thast the only thing that i can think of that would happen for no reason
 
I had the same symptoms about a month ago. I called up my eye doctor and he called in some steroid drops for my eye. The drops worked great, took all the pain/redness/sensitivity to sunlight away overnight.
 
my sister got hit in the eye with an egg on holloween from a 3 person slingshot. perminently scratched cornia and eye was swollen shut for 2 1/2 days.
 
I've had 2 zits yeah zits on my eyelid and just below the eye before. It stung like hell and I had to pop them which stung even more.
 
best to take that shit to a doctor. i wouldnt mess around with something like an eye, you DO see with it, and it would suck to have it infected or something and not do anything about it for a long time.
 
GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY YOUR VISION IS NOT SOMETHING TO FUCK AROUND WITH PEOPLE GO BLIND ALL THE TIME FROM RANDOM INFECTIONS, IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GO TO THE ER RIGHT NOW IF ITS NOT GETTING BETTER. THERES LIKE AMOEBAS THAT EAT INTO YOUR CORNEA AND MAKE YOU GOT TOTALLY BLIND. might just be pink eye but i would def see a doctor to make sure.
 
id listen to caps lock dude over there. either that or you played with your dog or something and his ass went in your face and you got pink eye
 
hey man, if its redder than usual.. like your eyelid then you may have a sty.. get a warm to hot compress and hold it there for 10 minutes at a time several times a day. it will really help in getting rid of that. ive had my fair share of experience with that
 
haha i've had that with my eye before, it sucks. i went to this doctor and she gave me this thing thats called like 'eye stream' or somethingand you just flush your eye out with itbutttttttif that doesnt workthen go to a hospital because my friend had that happen to her, turns out it was a piece of metal stuck in there and she had to get it drilled and shit.so for sure go see a doctor
 
- I don't have a dog- I don't think its a sty I'm not sure but I don't find and visible lump or pimple-like thing so...- its a bit warm and has a slight swell, other than that I dunno

Update:
A big thanks to everyone who replied, I went to the doctor on Monday and it turns out it was a sty. She prescribed me some eye drops but due to a packed schedule I ended up not getting it. It just went away in a few days though, so all's well now and I can see out of my left eye again!
No I just gotta heal my heavily bruised knee and the holes in my tongue from landing on my head after being dared to backflip into a gym mat at school. All this before ski season too, wtf's gonna happen to me once skiing starts?
