this last weekend i was checking my skis and i found there is a small gap forming between the sidewall and the edge of the ski. i tried clamp it back together and it moves right back into place but it doesnt stay on its own. i asked my friend at the ski shop if they could fix it and he said they dont fix this kind of thing.

in order to prevent my core from getting wet and getting ruined, i could use your help. if any of you know if there is some sort of epoxy i can use to set it back or some other way you know of that would be great please let me know. thanks

Get a 12 hour or longer epoxy. The 5 minute shit won't work. Mix it 50/50 in a small cup and use a hair dryer or heat gun to liquefy it. Drip it between the sidewall and the edge and use a flathead screwdriver to kind of pry the gap open and guide it in. Use the hairdryer some more to make sure it is getting liquefied and seeping all the way in. Clamp the shit out of it. Wait a day and take the clamps off. Trim the excess with a razor blade and sand the rest. You should be good to go. Make sure you get the mixture of the catalyst and resin 50/50.
