My Disgust With Verizon

So today I wanted to check the NFL game going on between the Colts and the Steelers on my phone, which is a droid. Now I know it's preseason so it isn't that important but I figured that I should figure out the NFL app that is preloaded onto my device so when the regular season came I could use it without any difficulties. So I open it up and set it up and so I get this creeping feeling that maybe this will cost me money. Verizon(and most phone companies) has a notorious way of sneaking in a hidden charge that will assfuck you a couple months later when it charges you every month. Anyways, I go online and see that it does in fact cost $5 a month! Why! It was always advertised that it was free all last season and now you want to charge for it? Grr. You'd think with a record high sales that maybe they could just have something complimentary, but alas, no. Not worth the money whatsoever. It was bad enough when they changed $30 a month from unlimited data to 2 gigs of data. I mean 2 gbs is NOT enough. Now they have this new "share everything plan". Can't wait to see how they'll rape us as customers next.

dont upgrade your plan….

we had unlimited and they kept pestering us to sign a new contract for 2gb a month, and we was like nahhhhh

so we still have unlimited for cheap as long as we don't upgrade

I've been with verizon for about 10 years. Been legit. Get service in a million places noone else does. Saves lives

I don't use them google phones though. Just straight phonage and text here.

not trying to thread jack but i have an s3 with the shared data plan or whatevs and i used mobile hotspot a few days ago and hit agree to whatever the rules were without reading, my friend told me it cost extra, is that true?

i have had the same verizon free-with-family-plan flip phone for the past 5 years. . . what is this "android" you speak of?

same. ive had unlimited for about 3 years now, but att.

and no 2gb isnt enough, some months i use 4-6gb

Not anymore, they got sued. You own the data, you can do what you want and if that's turn yourself into a hotspot they can't charge you more.

this change though was not retroactive to those still grandfathered to the unlimited plan.

oh so since i have the two gb plan right now i can? of course they would keep this kind of information hidden..

this this this. my family has verizon but once i'm out of the house i plan on getting some of that unlimited data action.

you could be on at&t and have to pay like 500 bucks if you lose your phone and not be able to upgrade your plan for two years. got like 3 months left thank gawd.

all had still on a grandfather in plan thankfully, their insurance blows ive gone through at least 7 insured phones the past year that all had manufactures defects when they sent them to me...lately my calls drop constantly, and service is getting worse and worse where i live. Theres a chance I might just switch to boost mobile or something like that why pay 110 buck when i can get the same exact thing for 45 and not have to deal with verizon
