My din?

i have the salomon 810ti bindings right. so i weigh 155 and the dude at the shop put them at 6, but i cranked them up to 9. was that a bad idea? will they release if i fall even remotly hard. also i heard the bindings suck pretty hard so cranking them up is the right thing to do. was that a lie

no dude its not rele a problem, im asking if i should keep them therre or lower them its not really a big deal i dont really care about lowering them

haha this next guys thread is gonna be "Ahh i tore my ACL and now i need surgery..." If you like your knees you'll turn them back down

theyre at 9....at 155 lbs it could be worse. Try not to set the din at either of the extremes...so if ur binding has a max din of 10, dont set it so close to 10

im about your size, i had an 8 din last year and they were fine. I was smaller then, so 8 or 9 probably wouldnt be risking breaking yourself.

Before jumping from 6-9 I would ski them first. But at 155, you'd probably be safe starting at 7. A lot more goes into your correct DIN than just your weight. Adjust gradually, its better to pop out of a ski and not land a trick then blow out your knee and end your season.

generally rule of thumb is dont go within more than 3 of your max, too much stress on the spring or whatnot. I was skeptical and desperate becasue I grew too big for my p10s and tried it out of curiosity... it's right they bindings didn't release (which I liked)... but then I cased super hard ripped out of my ski and broke the heel piece... yea, dont go over 7 on 10 din bindings

When I was 145 lbs and rode the s912's I had to set them at 11 to get them to hold me. That may have been partly to blame for blown out springs every 25 days though.

that would be on an 810, whose DIN is 3-10, you could only set it at 6 or 7. thats the dumbest shit ive ever heard. I wouldnt put it at 3, or at 10, but everything else should be ok.

if you havent skied on them yet just wait til you do. when you crash and if your binding does not fall off and your leg gets twisted a lil, crank them down, if they are always poping off crank them up.

does anyone here know what boot sole length is? and what efect it has on DIN???? if you dont you might wanna look it up

you should be fine a bit high but dont set it too close to max bindings act very abnormally when they are set close to their extremes.

plus cranking the springs wears them out
