yeah that's the idea of a concert dipshit. if you're not going to watch the artist perform then why would you pay all the extra money to see them when you can just go hear that music in the gay bar down the street for a fraction of the cost?

sorry folks I hate to break it to you but this whole idea is stupid and breaks the definition of a concert. you are paying paying $100< to go to a giant highschool dance with glowsticks and expensive drinks

just because some of you get butthurt that festivals like this exist doesn't mean that there isn't a large percentage of us that love going to these shows and have a great time. if you are complaining that this stuff isn't real music or the way that they express it in a digital format through cdj's is not legitimate, go try to produce some the music yourself and then shove your head in the toilet and give yourself a swirly because you deserve it.

idk if i could handle a full on edm festival, it just be too much. i need some chill, kick back, sunset over the gorge (insert awesome venue) to level out the weekend. but some of the best nights of my life have been edm related. wolf gang gartner was one of the most fun shows i saw at sasquatch last year.
 
i'm not even a skrillex fan but that's just dumb. he was the front man for From First to Last for 3 years. he has plenty of experience with 'real' music as you call it
 
You're both generalizing pretty hard. Their is incredible talent in both. However I do agree that I go to

Shows to see the show alongside the music not just a dance party but I have been to edm shows and it's just as much of a show as any live band.
