and he needs help. he just got had edge 11 cause the shop guy said they where the widest boots going pretty much. they felt fine to him in the store where he wore them fer an hour. then when he treid to ski his feet felt like shit. they either felt like they had knives in them or they went numb. he got good footbeds and then had the boots streched out and he still cant ski. i have literally seen my dad puke of pain because of his boots before and he would really appreciate your help. his feet are really wide, high and he has pretty big calfs.

Nope^ Doubt thats the problem. where are they giving pressure? tried any kind of heel lift? a good footbed should account for this. is it pain on top of his foot? sides?
 
how many pairs did he try on?

i just got new boots the other day and the guy in the store told me to take the footbeds from my old boots and put them in the new ones so they'd be more comfortable...

also, dalbello boots are extremely comfortable, so maybe try those on? hope your dad finds something that works
 
hes done footbeds allready to raise his heel. im just wondering about any last options before custom boots or somethin like that.
 
assuming that he's an adult with a good size budget and will be able to get many years out of his equipment it'd be worth it to get some custom boots. I think it's surefoot who does it, but yea they make the liner while your foot is in the boot so if that doesn't fit him right he's pretty hopeless. they are pretttty pricey, but worth it if nothing else works and like I said his stuff probably lasts him longer than a park rats.
 
if the edge series arent wide enougth i dont see much being wide enought... maybe dalbello's reflex serie???

and did the footbeds were customised for himor are they just good footbed like surefoots???

custom footbeds help a lot.
 
eh, i have pretty wide feet and they were the most comfortable i've tried on. the only reason i didn't get them was because they were too soft.
 
ya i guess ur right. hell have to try custom footbeds first but after that i didnt think there was anything he could do either.

I live next door to him its true, my dad has the same prob. Ttey should ski together so they dont feel they are the only ones hurting...

p.s. no tremblant for a few weeks now mitch, 60 mm of rain in the last week
 
is it possible that the boot is actually too wide for him?

Were the boots skied in with footbeds, and before blowing out the shells?

Sometimes blowing the shell to make space in the width of the toebox/forefoot area can accentuate the problem - the foot can move side to side even more - rare, but it happens. Sometimes people blow the boot before skiing in it and identifying where exactly the problem lies?

I wanna see this foot!
