South Dakota School of Mines and Technologythe girl to guy ratio is terrible, you more than likely will be (at least an attempt at) mugged once, and deal with overly critical teachers and terrible class scheduling.
add that all up and you usually get a pessimistic alcoholic who does not like the native americans that surround the campus and live on the hill and alley that are nearby the campus.
the positive points (other than the educational value) are that it's the only school in south dakota that has hills so longboarding is possible and there's terry peak and dear mountain about 45 minutes away. And its a school of either hermit crabs or people who like to drink and/or fuck around 4 out of the 7 nights of the week. There's really not a big median.
I think last I heard it was about a 40% graduation rate since most of the people who come here are from the high schools in town and they transfer to Black Hills State to get a teaching or a business degree.
