you would need to have a group of people that are commited to making the community work and who can live in that type of society

There would definetly have to be a pretty critical screening process.

I'm going to offer entertainment and vegetables.

Sill filling positions for:

Marijuana Crop Engineer

Potato Spirits Distiller

Hunter (i suppose, i'm a veg. but i imagine some of you want some rabbit?)

Mr. Fix-it

etc....

I really have been developing this theory in my mind. I really do believe it can work successfully, minus paying property taxes, etc.....

No marriage, damn I'll have to start my own community, wait I have kids I guess I have started my community already. Would it be alright if I came over and visited?? I wouldn't stay very long and I could always bring some toilettres. Would that consist of a shovel and a corn cob??

I can see why you don't allow marriage. I will try to stay out for the good of the community, for I've been tarnished.(could ya toss some hooch over the fence cause with a wife I don't get any and I'm in dire need)

the coolest communal village is the one in that movie The Beach. you would have to have it on an island like that so nobody knows about it.

There is no communal alcohol/weed tester. People will grow marijuana, distill alcohol, brew beer, grow vegetables, fruit, etc.... there is no need for a tester, we all will be testing everything....hehehehe, a carpenter would be an asset.... Anybody? I enjoy woodworking, but I'm not very good at it. Anybody wanna try there hand at building guitars and drums.... we need people to make clothes....

Seriously, what are the pros and cons? Why wouldn't you want to live like this? Start small..... You could wake up at 10am each day, go ski in town, go home, smoke a blunt, crack a MikeDuncanAle, sit back in a chair and whittle some wood furniture for other Villagers.....or brew some beer, or weave some blankets, or whatever your favorite thing is, that is contributing to the well-being of the village.....that being the ultimate goal, to create a village that runs smoothly, with each member positively contibuting. A town where you can walk around, stop at anyone's house, pop your head in and say hello, no predjudices, negativity....

the only thing is we need to make enough money to pay for the taxes on our land every year, selling hooch would probably do it, and we'd need one person for each little thing or maybe we could all rotate, you only need new chairs ever 10 years anyways.

No sam, no personal assistants... Yeah, no need to build chairs all the time, but your woodworking skills would definetly be put to good use.

Anybody know anything regarding irrigation and water systems? Probably be helpful....

i'm down.

i'd love to live in a village like that for 6 months or so with the right people.

i'd really love to be in like a 'music festival' environment with everyone independtly selling, making money that way. it'd be really cool to do for like 6 months...everyone would just need to chill out and only party REALLY hard on the weekends or something.

Me: Yeah, all the hicks and stuff in are school make in the hallway its gross.

Sisters bf: Well, they don't care. Their not leaving town, their just like 'Fuck it.'

Sister: Yeah, thats how i feel about law school right now, 'Fuck it, make out in the hallway.'

 
party when you want. You obviously know what it's like at a festival type setting, when every one is happy to be there, and just relaxed and completely content.... Why only 6 months? Why would you ever want to go back to the other world?
