So.. today my 12 year old cat was put to sleep. His name was Patter, he weighed 25 pounds. I had him since i was 2 years of age. He was old and fat, so basically dieing, wasn't eating and he had bad diareah (sp?). Its hard not knowing that i don't get to wake up to him sleeping on the end of my bed and keeping my feet warm when i watch movies. So many memories, and i will miss him dearly.

dude im sorry bout that, i have 2 cats and they're 13 now, had since i was 3, they seem good, so hopefully i'll get some more solid years out of them, and there is nothing to beat waking up having a cat curled up, you think you'll get another?

This year was hard on me too, 2 of our cats died (both 15+ years). And we had some close calls with 2 dogs that we have, I seriously was prepared to see a dead pet in the morning on more than a few occasions. Its good that you treated your cat well, the relationship is always nicer when you are nice to your pet and in return you get even more.

Yea, i dunno if were getting another. I'd like a kitten and my friend has them.. but i think my mom is saying no.

aww thats no good... best of luck and what not, your cat is sleeping and eating that really expensive cat food in kitty heaven

bummer man... least he died old and fat.

my cat died a about 7 months ago (19 or so lbs) but he died pretty young cause he had stomach cancer =*(

my cat died of kidney failure on friday...we buried her in the front yard in the rain and my mom cried all day, I also cried, it sucked, I dont remember not knowing that cat since I've had her since I was 5 so yeah i feel for you

wrong. One time my cat jumped approximately 3 feet in the air and ripped a robin's head off while it was in mid flight with one swipe of its paw, i wouldnt have believed it either except i saw it with my own eyes

My white cat was huge, it would eat your cat without even knowing it. This beast would bring back woodchucks, it would steal london broils and it stole our thanksgiving turkey right off the countertop and ate half of it before we could get it back (and no we diddnt eat the rest)

My cat is 21, I've had her since I was 4 or 5. Deaf, part blind, and pretty confused now. She'll have have to be put down eventually, she isn't big on just dying.

that would suck for ur cat to be put down i dont have any pets a cat would defiantly be a 1337 pet i would definatly get one if i had the chance

losng a pet sucks, my cat was put down awhile ago (actually started a thread about it to) so i know how you feel man. RIP

I'm sorry, losing a pet is always tough. I've worked at a vet clinic for the last three summers and it's always tough when someone has to put their pet down, even tougher when it's your own pet (had a dog put to sleep when I was little).

yeah my dog got put down a couple years ago. It was hard but she went to a better place, like your cat

that makes me nervous....my cat recently turned 10 years of age so he could die too soon...which would totally suck because like u, i would wake up to him keeping my feet warm or when im watching tv or movies...so he could be next....AHHHHHHHH

Sorry to hear that. It's never an easy thing to do. I used to work at a vets and you never get used to that kinda thing.
