this thread is for everyone who has a really shitty car.

i have a 99 hyundai accent 2 door hatchback. shit is money in the snow...haha yea right.

im so fuckin sick of driving this piece of shit car. the tires i buy come with warnings on them saying i shouldnt drive over 50mph. i buy those tires because the car is such a piece of crap, thats the only tire that is readily available for it. ridin dirtay on 13's is so hard to do. pickin up ladies? forget about it. ski racks wont even fit on my car, with a fit kit. id have to drill into the roof if i wanted one on. even then, its so thin that the rack will not even fit on the load bars.

it has 89, yes thats right, 89 (eighty nine) horses. hyundai corp added to the disapointment by sending every owner a letter. it stated they transposed numbers when they wrote the spec sheet. they originally said it had 98 horses, not the true 89. one of the two fronstide airbags doesnt work. so if i crash itll be like russian roulette. whos gonna stay alive? me or the passenger? hmmm. most likely both though cause you can pick the whole car up with a pinky.

only mine doest have a spoiler, or fog lights, or hubcaps. and its green.

this was a rant cause i spent a full week working on this piece of shit getting ready to sell it. i spent more fixing the car in a week than i spent on the whole car.

only problem is, its such a fuckin pos that know one wants to buy it.
 
fuck, why are you bitching about that car? i have a 1988 ford escort. it was a crappy car to begin with, and its about to fall apart now. absolutely no one at my high school had a worse car. i dont mind it that much tho, it gets me places, i dont have to worry about denting or scratching it, it only has to last until college, and i can box it all i want. as long as it doesnt break down again, im fine with it
 
just wanted to add, you do have a point with the airbags and saftey features tho. my car doesnt have airbags, is really small, and always feels super unstable on the freeway. i try and avoid getting on the highway at all times, my car is a deathtrap on it
 
airbags help, but can't be relied on to save you

they cushion the impact, but as long as your seatbelt works, you're all set
 
my mom still fucking drives me places. i know you had it like that too, but people are always worse off. 10 more months and ill be fucking driving. i cant wait.
 
hyundai makes incredible cars (now) for really cheap.

so i guess mine retailed for like 9 grand back then.
 
i paid 1200 for the car and paid 300 to fix it. nothing was realyl broken, just made it run better. plugs, coils, 02 sensors, belts etc.
 
Trade it in at a dealership, yea you might get ripped off some, but at least you can get rid of it. I hate dealing with shitty cars, such a pain in the ass. Having a dependable car kind of sucks too cause its fucking expensive...
 
Dude it could be so much worse. At least its japanese. Imagine if it were a ford or some other American piece of shit.

And I'd love to have 89 horses, my 1990 Subaru Loyale has 70 horses. But its a sick car.

Atleast you have a car to take you from point A to point B, and a newer one at that. Yes, it is a Hyundai, and we all know that foriegn cars suck dick (I'm calling you out, Honda), but you can still go places and you can still save up for a better car.
 
Damn dude I feel bad, I lucked out though because my grandparents were getting a new car when I was turning 16 so my mom bought it off them and im expected to pay her back half. Its a dark green 1999 buick century, also my grandparents kept it in great condition. Thing is I dont even have my license yet haha.
 
2000 focus here, i get so much shit for it. OMGZ its a girl car. Fuck tha haterz. it runs good, looks nice, and its really fun to drive.
 
ive got a 96 nissan altima. yeah, its purple too. 150 horses. it's so rusted, im expecting the whole engine to just drop soon. it runs nice, with an official 92k on it (it actually has 110k+)

you end up backwards going along in third gear, with any snow. there is no weight on the back end, and i don't want to pay for winter tires.

The real good thing is that it came with a CD and tape player that was stock. it also used to have A/C!

hahah i have a 1999 buick century that is dark green only mine got hit by a deer in my DRIVEWAY! i guess the automatic lights scared it and since my car was dark colored it didnt see it and ran right into the side of it
 
dump that shit and get an old bmw. if you look at models from the 90s they are relatively cheap, and dont have major problems. they look sick too, and you they hardly go down in value/price.
 
I think hyundai is korean or something?

And at least it runs and gets you around. My cars pretty junky but I love it, i just wish it weren't so rusty
