Hello everyone,

This Wednesday (9/4/13) at about 3:30 a.m my car was stolen from my driveway in

Salt Lake City UT (Sugarhouse area). I was stupid enough to leave my car keys

in the cup holder that night, and it was gone in the morning. Any help locating

it is GREATLY appreciated.

that blows, dude. thank god for insurance!!

i'm so glad i live in an area where i can leave my keys in the ignition over night and my car will still be there in the morning.

I clicked on this thinking it read My Cat Got Stolen and instead of getting a tale of a feline fasco I found out someone got their car stolen. Hope you find it.

That really sucks, man. But...keys in the cupholder? Man, I lock my car everywhere I go, I'd be a nervous wreck leaving my keys in the car. I can't even imagine the mechanics of leaving my keys in the cup holder. Like...I can see maybe somehow spacing out and leaving them in the ignition or the front door of the house, but the cup holder? Again, I'm really sorry and I feel bad for you, but DUDE.

shit man thats a nice ass car good luck and if you get it back lock it up no matter where you are i usually do

Not much you can do when the keys are in the car. It will be found because modded cars are harder to hide.

A WRX would be too risky and noticeable for the person to drive around, unless they are a complete moron. Sorry to say but it is probably already in a chop shop.

lol on about an acre of land along the banks of the **** river. and my garage/driveway/parking spots are all withing shooting range of the house.

I've only left my keys in my car, unlocked, once. I was in Burlington and as I was walking back to the car, I began frantically searching for the keys. I thought for sure I had lost them. Sure enough, it was unlocked and the keys were sitting right in the ignition.

Never again will I do something that stupid.

DUUUUUUUUUDE that fucking sucks!

I hope you already contacted the police and this serves as a lesson to take your keys everywhere with you.

I'll keep an eye out for her. I used to live off 15 E 17 S, down the street from dave's. I'm over closer to the U now.

Hopefully she's not already chopped up by the time you find her man. Good Luck!

Apparently my neighbor across the street thinks the curb in front of their house is theirs. I parked my car there one day and the next day, it had spray paint on all the passenger side windows and down the doors. my other roommates got their cars fucked with parking there too.

What the fuck? Id beat the shit out of someone for spray painting my car. Is it too hard to come knock on your door and ask you to move it?

Ill keep an eye out for it down south in the orem area.

Damn. vibes man. There's times I wish my car would get stolen just so I don't have to drive that piece of shit around anymore, but it looks like yours is quite a bit nicer than mine.

Hopefully it pops up soon.

Bro i really hope you get your car back

BUT some info for all you NS I work for farmers insurance and if a policy holder leaves their keys in the car and the car is stolen the insurance company will NOT cover it. Because the policy holder is 100% at fault for the claim.

So if your car is every stolen don't tell the insurance company or the police that you left the keys in the car

Have you gone on NASIOC and told them yet? People on there look out for stolen cars/parts all the time.

Look at the bright side, if it was a sedan, at least you lost the ugliest generation to date. And well, if it was a hatch, that sucks, sorry man hopefully you have full coverage.

happened to me in college, couple moolies broke in while we were out.r. I woke up the next morning and couldnt find my keys anywhere then realized the car was gone.

I got it back a month later, apparently they just dropped it in a parking lot less than a mile away (probably got scared).

Hopefully your situation is similar; stolen by someone who wasn't really planning on stealing it and doesn't know what to do with it.

so are you guys in this together or is it really a coincidence? I'm inclined to say its planed. https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/756592/

Vibes dude. Mine got stolen driving back from war of rails 2 years ago. 4 peoples ski gear and cameras plus getting stranded in buttfuck no where and having to stay in big bear for 2 weeks till we could get back to mammoth. The police didnt find it till almost exactly a year later. Good luck though its also just as reasonable that the thieves will get caught and youll be all good.

I honestly just don't feel bad for OP at all. Yeah, it sucks that his car got stolen, but how fucking retarded can you be? Leaving your car unlocked with the keys in the FUCKING CUPHOLDER!?!? God damn. I feel like he deserved to get his car stolen for such a display of utter stupidity. Maybe it just got picked up on garbage day though. Plastidip, spraypaint, and a muffler delete? That car was straight up trash anyway.

That sucks. I've never understood the habit people have of leaving things of value out in the open in there car or leaving in there car period. Wallets, GPS, KEYS, big bags that can hold things of wonder and amazement. It's just bad form. I try to go by the out of site out of mind type thing. Out of site is inside my house.
