So, I got a longboard over the summer, shitload of fun, I try to ride at least once a week if not more. The thing is, my friend who I normally ride with has been on my back to try to olly it. This may not sound like a big deal, but for some reason it is to him. Basically, he just keeps saying I'm a bitch about my board, but I don't see any point in trying to olly it and maybe breaking it, and then having wasted all the money I spent on it.

So, yeah, I basically just needed to vent this somewhere, and there was nowhere better than NS.

and i have seen people kick flip, heal and almost 360flip on them

so tell your pal to keep it up
 
where i am currently, there is some bad music playing and during that story i drifted out to get an earful of that music which is sooo sweet by comparison. just let the kid ollie it then kick him in the shin if he breaks it

why dont you pick up your board and smack him in the head with it, then stop being a pussy and do a damn ollie. I've seen a kid ollie with a longboard he made himself so it was not-so-perfect quality, and a kid my skate park rode his longboard on the quarter pipe and attempted jumping the funbox. it's not like it's made of styrofoam what are you so scared of?
 
i see ur point...if its ur property u dont want someone telling u to go something that could break it. i understand dude...dont listen to anyone who is being negative...i garentee if it was their long board they would feel protective of it also
 
My friend took mine when I wasnt looking and I turned around and was like hey he's a good guy, Then I see him kick flip it and ollieing it. It was scary to say the least.
 
first of all ou ARNT going to break your long board and judging from what you just said about yourself... you sound like a lil Bitch, however whats the point in olling a long board they're made for riding/carving not freestyle.......
 
to Galli, thats exactly my point, that theres no point in ollying it when its made for carving. fuck it, I don't even know when I'm bothering on NS when there so many stupid egotistical assholes out there who jump at every chance they get to put someone else down.
 
it depends on what kinda board you have....if its a big ass fucken peice of wood with no flexibility it should deff be fine and not break...

but if you have one of those ones where you step on it and it flex's all over and you can make it bend towards the ground and shit...

yeah deffinalty not safe to be letting people toy around with it.

i think you should jsut try to ollie and quit being a lil bitch. break a board over an ollie? that would be one hell of an ollie and would be worth witnessing.

boards are meant to be broken, just like skis. who keeps their edges clean? grind with that shit!
 
that kid triax broke the nose off my longboard by smashing it into a curb, then he didn't tell me until i noticed it when i was on teh bus. He won't pay me for it either
