My bases cracked in half

So... I got these brand spanking new atomic skis about a month ago, the atomic punx. About 2 weeks into using them i was riding park all day hitting the jump line. When I went to take them off to take a chill inside, I noticed to my horror that there were huge cracks in both my skis. On one there where 2 cracks running along each edge and on the other one HUGE crack just running down the side. Well, my question is: WHAT THE FUCK atomic? What is happening to my skis. I brought them into the shop and they said that the skis are done for theres no fixing them and that they are not warantied since ive done rails on them. Hey Jossi Wells, do your atomic skis break 2 weeks after they hook you up? I would doubt it. Does anyone out there on NS know of some way i could arrange with atomic to hook me up with a fresh functional pair of skis, cuz well its kinda hard to ride comp in skis as fucked up as mine. Any help/suggestions would be greatly apreciated

this seems more like a manufacturing defect than anything, not normal wear and tear from park skiing. contact atomic directly, they might be able to do something.

That's definitely not wear and tear, that's a joke being on both skis aswell. Get hold of atomic directly and send them those pics aswell as a receipt of when you bought them
 
It happened in not one ski but 2. Definately Atomic's fault. If you got them from a store, go or call the store and try to do the warranty through them, it's a lot easier.
 
i tried to go back to the store i bought them already but they said that since there are small kinks in the edge from hitting rails that the waranty is void. Which basically means they suspect the damage to the base is from hitting rails. Unbelievable in order to fuck up my skis like that i would have to 50/50 railslide 2 samurai swords for fuck sake
 
Crappy shops say shit like that cause they don't want the hassle. Doubt they benefit out of it so just call atomic direct
 
Don't go through the shop with a warranty, contact Atomic directly, you get much better results. I broke a pair of Thugs back in the day, brought them to the shop, they said they would ship them, but just stored them in the back.

It's always better to get a second opinion on the damage, especially from the manufacturer.
 
Those are 100% under warranty still. It'd be fucking bs if you wouldn't get new ones. It's 100% a manufacturing fault.

You think thats bad?

Im now going to be on my 3rd pair of liberty lte's this year because of them snapping behind the left foot. At least liberty is legit with their warranties.
 
That's fucked up. If a ski is designed to hit rails, then the warranty should cover rail-related damage. Try atomic, they are a bigger company though so they may have shitty customer service
