it is a 1994 BMW 325i. 170k miles, but still running strong. Im going to get a chip and a CAI when I get the money, and I might have my firend weld me a cold air box. Stock 0-60 is supposed to be 7.4, not bad.

it was $5500

and most gulfs arnt as fast 0-60 stock. a jetta GLX (v6) is 0-60 in 7.7 sec. the GTI VR6 is 7.1. the R32 is 6.4, but both of those are more $ for one that is in decent condition atleast.

Sweet dude, congrats. I wish cars still looked like that today. I hate the ugly bubbles on the road now. Personally I would rather the 3.18 or 3.23 but I just like smaller engines.

ya so far it runs great! just make sure you get it checked out by a michanic you trust. (if you know someone who has had good expeirences with the michanic that is a good sign) or obviously if you know the michanic or if a relitive or firend does. make sure the oil pressure is good, and for that high millage it is probably a good idea to pay for an extra hour of labor when they are checkin out the car to get a compression test done also.

well actually the 323 has the same size engine as the 325! infact the 323, stock is faster 0-60 then the 325, even though it isnt any lighter and it has less torque and less hp!!! it is mind boggeling as hell but it is true. the only reason i didnt get a 323 is becuase they didnt make em untill 1996 i beleve and so there werent any that i found that were cheap enough.

it is a manual 5 speed of corse! there were more options for this model car in auto around here but i owont have any of that bullshit.

and, the millage, atleast as far as the engine is concerned, isnt the issue. it could make it to 300k miles. i owuld expect to get around another 100k out of it, especially in the shape that it is in, and from what the michanic said who checked it out.

I disagree. I would prefer to take a somewhat nice car (not a civic though, too many around) and through money and work/dedication make it in to something it wasn't supposed to be. Then you can be proud to know that what you're driving (and smoking other people in) wasn't just because you shoveled out tons of $$ for a stock fast car.

170K miles isn't that bad for a well built foreign car. My Audi has 192K miles and it still runs awesome, and hasn't really had a problem in the last two years. The only problem is it leaks oil and requires frequent oil changes.

Congrats on the new car tho.

 
true to an extent, but if the car really isnt that fast what so ever to begin with it just doesnt make a whole lotta sense. like a normal integra, not a type r. they really shouldnt be riceified in the way thye are, they are slow!
