my 1260's are indestructable

i bought some 1260's off lines website exactly one year ago for $145, they had blemished graphics on the bases, i bought these skis with hopes they would last at least 5 monthes, they are super flimsy so i thought they would probably break and i'd find myself some new jib skis for the mid-winter/spring...

since that time i have hit metal rails at least 50 times, i've been drug behind a car on pavement, sparks and all, i've ridden them down tundra and scree slopes without any snow on it, i skied them 45 days at Artic vally/Alyeska, I've had new bindings drilled in them 2 times (the more drills the weaker the ski), i rode them one day at a gravel pit in july out of desperation for winter, and THREE times driving down the highway i had forgotten to latch the ski rack and they have fallen off the car at 50+ mph on the way back from girdwood...

the damage?

-the top sheets are scratched all around the edge of the skis

-the bases have two small cuts in them, no coreshots

-there is a little rust on part of one edge, there are zero divots or bends

best $145 i EVER spent

 
yup, they are hardass skis. I've been thrashing my skogens (with the ship on them). They're got a few chips and cuts on the topsheet, a few chips on the tips and tails and one big scratch on the base that goes to the core, (p-texed up now), I've been thrashing the crap out of them and they still ride like new.

you got lucky. I'll agree with the super solid base, but as for the rest, i totally fucked mine in like 10-12 weeks on snow. that sucks.

saying that mine were from like the 99-00 season so that might be better now...not that i'll buy some more to find out...

I won't be thrashing my 1260s like that and I won't be using them on roads or gravel pits or anything. I want to buy an old pair of twins for that.

haha thast funny because my friend had the 1260's for one year and now that they have scratches on the top she says they are delaming and shit its so gay so she bought the supa flys..i ride the 153's and they kick ass

yea redbomber, line sold u those skis for so cheap because they messed up on them in the factory, they made them durable, this isnt true to line becuase the shits will fall apart.

-jon, skiing the ice so the other half of the country doesnt have to.

yea dude, we even built a little mound up and did some small airs, all we could do were grabs though, if you fell you would have gotten FUCKED UP! we also did some 'straight' lines and i did one switch, were going to put it in our movie, it s going to be great

 
Lines are amazing. But my friend works at a shop in the midwest and has had nothing but problems. last year almost every pair of skis they sold that where line came back with the lamination coming off or some other problem. i want to get some mike nicks but i hope they will last. any of you haveing problems with lines?

 
dude, you should post the clip of the gravel pit on the site, also, you shouuld come out here and come on the sand dunes, lol, thats tight man
