Mxtabs.net.... DEAD?!

You think you can sing along with the songs that you hear on the radio?!?!?! Looks like I'll have to turn you in to the RIAA. You should be ashamed of yourself, stealing food right out of the mouths of poor innocent people.
 
They don't have a legal leg to stand on, people are just coming up with their own interpretations of music, which is in no way copyright violation, of anything. I wouldn't be worried, they're just going to try and bully people, but one or two sites will stand up, and when they win it'll set a precedent and then all the other sites will come back up. No worries.
 
yeah, hopefully this lets people see how much of a joke the **AA goons are. I can see getting pissed about official sheet music but tabs? Those would definitely fall under fair use/Derivative work. Not taking anything from the artists.

Oh my god dude, I hope your kidding. Drum tabs are the most horrendous kinds of tabs! If you can write a tab for a drum part, ITS EASY! Listen to the damn song and if you're even a stones throw away from being decent, you'll be able to play it.
 
how many times do we have to through this in this thread?

i'm a fine guitar player, and i have figured out tons of stuff by ear, but if i want to learn something and i don't have the time/i'm too lazy to figure it out by ear at that moment then i look up the tab.

mx has been down for a while...at least after the redesign of the page...

I'm kinda lucky that my gf's father has been playing guitar for over 35 years so figuring things out is not a problem:)
 
i just go to goggle, type in the band name plus guitar tabs, and i visit the first couple sites, and choose the one i liek best, easiest way
