MWX comp... anyone goin--2 weeks

yeah...i guess im going.i told myself i wouldnt.but i am.i guess im just hoping there will be a descent jump and judging system, maybe good prizes too.what day is it?
 
im pretty sure ill be there.....the date is jan 28 at mad river...but for rite now if this weather keeps up that jump is gunna be pretty bad....so if ur goin wut kinda trix are u plannin on throwin
 
^ they could have a 30 foot base, and still manage the worst jump ever. And Perfects made snow 2 nights in a row, and there is plenty. The jump line in the park keeps getting bigger and bigger. i don't see how these contests are being set back/thinking about being set back.
 
haha yeah i see what ur sayin...but its mad river..i mean they have 3 jumps set up and 2 shouldnt even be classified as jumps...and their new jump run??? was bull shit....its only 1 jump that is pretty good but yesterday kinda sucked....so i duno wut gunna happen w/ their comp
 
Gooood, things are looking better for this year. I'm sort of excited, i just hope Mad River gets a good hit. Wonder if someone with some sense went up early, and rode in a cat if it'd be better?
 
ya if sumbody can get into a cat that would be amazing.....im sure they wouldnt let me cuz im 15 but if any one that has a little expierence got in 1 and built the jump.....that would be so sweet
 
wonder if they are able to build stuff, but just don't know what to build. like, if i could sit passenger with a cat driver, and tell him some stuff, if he can do it, but hasn't in the past because they don't know what a good jump is.
 
i don't know^...like they might not take too kindly to that thought, i mean wouldn't u be pissed if jd hopped in our cats and was like "we're doing this my way".. i know the situation is different but i think people might feel that way
 
yeah. and i didn't mean me in particular. i would actually think someone like Tad, or someone else knowledgable on the subject. And they might now care, seeing as they e-mailed Tad asking how to make a jump, and asked for pictures, and dimensions and stuff of a good jump.
 
I had actually thought of doing that, but i don't know if i'll be able to make it to the contest or what...

i can almost guarentee that the jump will be exactly the same as last year if sumone doesnt do anything about it... there jump run is a smaller version of the mwx jump no lip... just a shallow plain goin up then a drop off... if u want a good jump then u might wanna ask if u can help
 
they are fixed anyway, one was here at mad river and the kids taht should have won didnt. I heard that all of the other stops are set up like that too. Its a shame when the kids with the friends judging win over the kids with the talent.
 
^ Thats BS. So.. if Tads Switch misty 9 at paoli shouldn't have won, and Goats swithc cork 7 with a SICK grab didn't deserve second... exactly who did?

And if Steve Pope had judges, rather than approaching people saying "will you judge" it wuldn't be that way. They need a panel of judges, that are trained, and know whats goin on, that go to every stop.
 
I don't know which stop your speaking of, but hey man if you want the "vest" i still have it if you think you should have won... especially at Mad River... and if a rodeo is inverted then i appologize... that rule is for straight over inverts, backs, fronts, you know tricks that are notorious for head injuries.

This is the exact reason i don't want to compete this season or have anything to do with a contest ever again... dick heads like lame that don't have a clue what they are talking about or weren't even there to know for themselves... have fun with the contest season this year fellas.

So, i figured i'd get this goin again, seeing as the even is in like 5 days. Who all is goin? Any of the Snowtrails people goin?
 
its gonna suck rain rain rain hopefully they build a new jump... conditions sucked yesterday jump run was closed it might be reallllly bad
 
you guys should blow off the midwest x jazz and come to snowtrails instead. it's sure to be a much better time. lots of beer, strippers, midgets, volleyball, bbq, etc... if you come, you won't regret it.
 
^ we're supposed to go to paoli... that trip always rocks... but, they are closed, and i dunno if they'll be able to pull of a contest on the 4th. i'm hoping to make it to snowtrails. Such good times up there.
