MW Love

I have been looking through some of the past posts by MW haters and I think this is a bunch of b/s. MW riders are some of the most versitile and technical riders. We have horrible conditions and weather most of the time making us have to adapt to icy and boiler plate type conditions almost everyday. Also we have limited terrain so we have to be creative in how we use it. I don;t know about any of you but my ADD will kick in most days and I have to find different ways to keep me engaged in the terrain. The only thing we struggle with would be perfect pow but that can be taken care of by taking a few trips out West. We are a different type of skiing community than anyone else in the country because we strive to progress the sport in some of the flatest and worst conditions. Be proud to be from the MW we can roll with some of the best. Peace.

The rebirth of a legend...try not to wet yourself.

/\ /\ haha, true. i have to disagree with all of you a bit though. you're all correct..lack of terrain and the necessary creativity that goes with it is definately a strong point of you guys, many eastern skiers have it much worse. like this...i used to live in WI, now in PA. i know the conditions in both. in Penn., snow is a HUGE issue. we never know if we'll have any or not. and i'm not talking about wondering if we'll get that foot of fresh overnight or not...leave that to the way northeast and the way west. i'm talking about wondering if it's gonna be 50 degrees and raining all week or if it's gonna be 25 and dry as hell. we just don't know! it sucks. it's now Jan. 10th, and we've had shit-ass conditions for like 2 1/2 weeks now. little to no snow on the hill at all. they had to push out 3 of 4 50 footers just to keep a base of about 6 inches on their main 3 runs. rail park is shut down completely and there's mud everywhere. it's day after day of rain! haha, this is long and probably getting annoying by now but i'm just venting. you guys up in the MW have one thing very good...reasonably predictable winters!

haha, we have had less than 3 inches all year long, and sometimes 50 deg. weather. usually its ok, but this year its horrible

Here in Northern MN we have had almost a record amount of snow for january. 43.5 inches which has kept conditions great, atleast when it's not extremly cold. but I do have to agree that the MW has tons of determination and talent thorwing stuff on hardpack is not very inviting but done all the time thanks to the MW.

Hey boys and girls, I used to ski the boiler plate at giants ridge minnesota. Right now i miss it allot. I currently live in wa. state where exactly zero resorts are open due to el nino and a bunch of pineapple express storms. I here you guys been getting dumped on lately. Get to the hill early before they groom everything!!

Yes i do have to agree with the bad conditions the MW has to offer for the ski year, while i was skiing at welch when we got the 8 inches of snow i sucked it was like the first powder i skied in in like 2 years I addapt to all the bad conditions then i can never ski when we get the foot of powder on the hill but i do like the MW its not the worst place to ski
