Mute grabs/spins

Any tips on how to mute grab or spin quicker on longer skis? My skis are 9cm taller than me and I find it very hard to spin on them or bring them up for a mute. (I didn’t realise I was so short when I ordered the skis big mistake otherwise I would’ve gone for a smaller length)

As far as spinning faster goes you just gotta work at it. I see one huge common problem with people trying to spin faster is that they rotate too much before they even pop. It will actually mess up your spin and make you rotate slower a lot of the time. You wanna pop first then spin. It will also make the grab way easier to get. In order to grab while spinning its easiest if you wait until you are well into the spin before grabbing and bring those legs up, don’t reach down it doesnt work.

For mutes I like to rotate my upper body and my outside leg at the same time right after popping and cross the ski over to grab at about 90 degrees. For spinning faster I think you just gotta get more comfortable hucking your spins since you gotta throw harder

Any tips on grabbing higher mutes? I always seems to grab super close to my boot which prevents me from crossing the skis enough.

Practice them with straight airs and when you feel comfortable incorporate them into a spin. I think a 5 is a good rotation to start grabbing mute with. Be patient with it and wait until you're at 90-180 degrees before grabbing. Once you start getting them you'll be able to tweak them behind your back to make them look more stylish. You'll probably pull your ski off a few times lol.

I cant think of anything better than grabbing mute and pulling your ski off mid air. It is some fun shit
