So, I had a full on handle bar mustache for 6 months. I have a professional job, gave a presentation at a conference, and interacted with many different people in many different situations...etc.

People treat you differently. People look at you more. People talk behind your back. People point at you from afar and will say something to their buddy.

Now, it's not always a poor response, many times women and other guys will go out of the way to say hi to you or say "sick 'stache bro!". This, from what I've experienced, the response varies with geographic location.

So you should try to grow one, it's quite fun, especially if you are younger. Ignore the haters during the growing process, they are all jealous.
