I know there has been a whole lot of arguing in this thread, but I'm gonna put a plug in for Caribou. Don't think there is any chance he will be remembered, but damn, after seein him last night, I have an even deeper respect for his music and performing skills.

Highly recommended to anyone that likes good music.

Stop hating on Dave. Him and his band especially are probably the most innovative, variety loving, talented group of our time. just listen to Don't Drink the Water live at Radio City and you'll know. I know most of his fans are fake douchebags, but listen to the music, and so should you. at least acknowledge it.
 
You guys can hate all you want, but Dave Matthews Band. He easily has one of the biggest followings in the world right now and consistantly sells out tours every year. Hes an amazing musician.

DMBs really one of the only widely listened to bands i like. respect, sir, for being your own man. You can still apreciate the talent though...

dave matthwes has some good music but not one of my favorite bands its liked by the older generation generally

It is totally unfair to make a statement like this, she is one of the biggest female pop singers of the last 15 years without a doubt. I am amazed when people are unable to see the merit in popular music for the simple fact that it is listened to blindly by the vast majority of radio listeners.

I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to Britney, but you don't need to pretend that you are in some way above pop music.
 
I am above pop music. Don't care what label that warrants me. I know that there are some talented fucking pop stars (Beyonce, Aguilera, etc) but it's not their music when their labels make the artistic decisions for them. Shit is terrible.
