Music while you Ski?

Sup guys,

Someone brought up earlier something about music in ski films, and I was just wondering if anyone listens to music while they ride. I am not sure if I like it or not, Im about half and half right now, some days with, some days without. But, anyway... yeah just post if you do or don't, and if you do what kind. Sick

listin to music while u ski is kool, but when u get those massive earphones and wear them all the time its gay especialy if u wear a helmet then stop so u can use ur huge ear phones

i ski better with music, but i dont like carrying a cd player, and i dont like not being able to here shit, i need a mp3 player thats really little or something, and i think i saw a jacket by like burton maybe that had all the ontrols for a cd player/mp3 on the sleeve, like real big, that would be nice, easy to turn off on the lift and such

I like to hear, but I've never tried it. a CD player is to bulky so, just don't want to lug it around....

ive never skied with music, but it seems like it would be distracting. i dont ski in the park very much so i like to have all my attention focused on my surroundings. plus half the enjoyment of skiing for me is getting away from everything and just letting your mind be free.

its good, and a cd players isnt toobulky really, i forget about it. You hsoud lall try it sometimes, it can be nice.

ive skied everynow and then w/ tunes when im by myself or jsut in a chill mood. and i get distracted. the music pumps me up but i get distracted, as in i dont see people around meand jsut cut peopple off, but i lose focus for my number one goal, progression. its good, but personally i like skiiing without music

something either really mellow (jack johnson) or something just really heavy(slayer, cky...) usually gets me stoked. and, yes, an mp3 player is the way to go. mine has managed to survive 2 seasons without breaking (creative nomad II - really small, holds about 80 songs depending on how much memory you have)

I got a tiny mp3 player its pretty good times to ride with tunes. Gets you psyched to do it up. Just makesure you dont ride with earbuds or anything in your ear, screws with your balance.

I ride with a CD player. I usually put one ear bud in so I can her and still talk shit to people while i'm skiing. It's usually some hip hop or some guitar music like gary hoey or dick dale.

I got a Nime.MX and put the Giro ear phone ear pads in it and it rocks. The sound is decent out of it. i took my brothers Creative MuVo mp3 player which weighs nothing and holds about 30 songs on it.

Lately i've been listening to a bunch of random stuff, only thing that has been on there for a while is Liz Phair-Why Can't I. Thats a sick tune.

 
I like listening to music when I ski 'cause it helps me get amped to try new stuff. I find that I ski a lot more smoothly to music than I do regularly. I think it has something to do with having a rythem on your mind that helps with making your tricks flow better. I like to listen to really agressive heavy music when I ski. right now I've been listening to a lot of Bury Your Dead, Throwdown, Sworn Enemy, and Shattered Realm while I ski. The only thing i don't like about istening to music while skiing is not being able to hear what other people are saying so I normally only listen to music when I'm skiing alone.

^^samck89 your a dork.... jedi mind tricks and xecutioners are two different groups, how can they be a song by the other group? i ride with tunes all the time unless in with friends, i think that sometimes if you have the right kind of music it can give you confidence on jumps and rails and stuff. thats my 2 cents...
