Yeah, the German Polka, good choice. I rarely listen to music while skiing, but I always listen before I leave to get me pumped. I gotta give it up to the Omaha stylee, 311, as well. They get me pumped. Also I play some Sublime, Switched, Sunset Black, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Aphex Twin, etc. It all depends on my mood

I enjoy being anti social. I am an antisocial person. I listen to music when I ski a lot... but not soo much on the lift if I am going up with people... but yea... I usually listen to hardcore and emo... cuz that is what I listen to all the time... and I like it. If I dont' have music on I always sing to myself anyays... so yea....

i dont think it is anti social at all. i mean on the lift is one thing if you are riding up with other people, but if im a lone i need something to do. and also, who am i talking to while i ride? yea my friends are around, but when i am in the actual process of skiing its just me, my skis, and the music.

 
raps is just upset that he cant walk and cew gum at the same time, or listen to music and ski and the same time.

I think music is cool when you're riding solo on a run where it's just you and the mountain, and your beats. However, I don't agree with bubbling down unless you really know what you're doing. So many ppl get in the way, and they're wearing headphones so you can't even get their attention. That's dangerous and it pisses me off. What if you're about to get landed on, or there's a slide above you, and you can't hear people trying to warn you? I know, the chances are odd, but I'm just getting old I guess, and I see the dangers of it... I think it impairs your senses to a certain extent, and you need to consider that.

Yah...music is cool. When i'm in the park by myself...it's way better....i usually don't talk much when i ride anyways...i get all focused when i'm learning a new trick, and just kinda grunt at people.

man its all about the music, its not like you can ski and talk to ppl at the same time so you mine as well listen to some music, and its not hard to take off your headphones on the lift! i am currently listening to some oldschool nas, obviously swollen members and some rock liek pennywise and thrice

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
yeah if your on the lift with someone just take one of the headphones off. or you could always pimp the mountain with a boombox on your shoulder. But the beats are all about Lootpack, hieroglyphics crew, everyone on battle axe, MOP, Anti-Flag, and Rancid

 
sometimes skiing by yourself can get lonely and you need something to do. music is comforting. i understand what you are saying about how it could get dangerous but i really dont think anyone is listening to their music that loud. also, when i ride park and i have my head phones on i feel like i have sooo much more style and amplitude...it just gets me soo pumped and gives me almost an adrenaline rush...anyone else see where i'm comin' from?

 
Sometimes I listen to music but if I'm with other people I take my phones off when I ride the lift. I feel that music gives you rythym and style.

I listen to a wide variety depending on the mood I'm in. Some of my favs while skiing.
