music sharing over NS

as you all have probably heard, most music sharing programs are getting screwed over because of the government and what not, i was thinking maybe if harvey could make something like that were just members of ns could share music. maybe not a good idea, it would probably be just like kazaa or something, i just think it would be cool if you could get it to work, but it more then likely wouldnt, what does everybody else think?

Maybe not a music sharing thing, but maybe like a member supported list of the top hits that skiers are listening to. So you can like vote your favorite ride song up or something and people can see what records or songs are good to buy or download.

by charging $20 for an album is stealing. The album costs about 50 cent to make. its greedy bands who take more than its worth. music sharing is just file sharing and its the way thigns are going. no matter whatr ecord companies do there will always be file sharing. period. its what the inter net was invented for.

^exactly, and even though its a bad idea to do it over NS, I still think we have a right to share music. Like you said, each album costs a quarter to make, if that. Sure there was time involved in making the music, but if they only sell 1000 albums at 20 dollars they are making a profit. Think about the money in 1 million albums, thats 2 billion dollars for 250,000 dollars worth of plastic. Its basically stealing

Greedy bands aren't the problem, it's the labels. Approximately $1 from every CD a band makes goes to them, the rest pays for packaging, production(not much...50 cents or so) and some other random shit. Most of it goes to a record label's bank account, straight under the 'profit' heading...
