Music player built in NS ?

Of course that is just my idea. But wouldn't it be cool to have an integrated music player on NS that would play music ?

Therefore it would make people happier while browsing, maybe less haters too ;)

And if the Artist/song is displayed, people would discover some tracks and use them for when they ride (and less posts about this on the forum). NS'ers could suggest some songs to play too.

Is it easily doable ?

Thoughts ?

Cheers

(Haven't found anything related in the forum..)

I'd say a lot of people already listen to music while browsing NS. Sorry, but I don't think this is a very smart idea at all, did you even think of the costs of the needed music rights?

Yeah of course, I thought about it. Maybe with some donation money if there is extra ?True people maybe already listening to music while browsing here, but for my part for example, I would be very glad to discover new songs as well.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand why. Why should there be such a large circle of costs as of NS.com developing a well-working music played engrained in the site, be sure that everyone would use it all the time to sover possible costs, by your suggestion wait for donations from members to pay for the music rights - when in the end you could just do the following:

My suggestion is that you go to Media and Arts forum and scroll through twenty or so pages. You will find multiple threads about bands, new music, what song are you playing right now etc. That's how NSers have shared music before YouTube and other streaming media was available.

Now you can search the song from YouTube, or ask for a download link from RapidShare, MediaFire, DropBox etc., you can use other methods to acquire it and ultimately you can usually even buy it from iTunes or a physical copy if you feel like supporting the artist in question and think it's the right thing to do.

There's just no need for any kind of integrated music player on NS, that's what I stand by.

Tabs + Youtube = This

There's just no need. The search system is a more imperative project anyways.
