Music or No Music?

Listing to banger tunes or relaxing and enjoying the freedom, the quiet and the time to think and speak to friends while out riding?

No music if I ride park, if I do listen to music I have to pause the song before hitting the jumps/rails..

I use icons so I hav them around my neck playing loud for chill riding and on the lift. For dropping in I just move them up to my ears

icons for park & competing for the ease of taking them on and off for talking to people. When doing serious riding you need to be completely aware of the people around you and any audible changes in surroundings or shits gonna' hit the fan, so no music.

Depends. When I'm shredding alone I either use my icons or just the stock apple headphones, when I am with friends then no music.

I used to listen when I was riding alone (which is almost never) but my iPod broke over the summer. For the most part though no music.

All depends on my feeling for the day. If I feel like being in my own world, music is on. If I wanna enjoy the day with some friends and the sounds of the day no music.

Nothing beats pow trees while listening to music. Always turn it off or super low on the lift though to talk to friends, or even the randos your riding with.

I listen to music with the standard apple headphones, but quiet enough so that I can hear people talking to me.
I NEVER listen to music when riding backcountry, always super paranoid about friends getting stuck/bailing hard/avalanches/anything else

Id props agree with all of the above. maybe apart from skiing trees with music, friends getting stuck/ i think the silence is the best part of being on the mountains, especially in the alps you cn easily be away from everyone and the silence in humbling.

Music most of times im not riding with anyone. Depending on the type of day determines what tunes i play, but with friends i never listen to music. I get so frustrated when my friends listen to theirs and don't hear u so u go down the wrong run or go the wrong way

When I'm with friends I love to be able to talk and have fun but when I'm alone you just gotta blast that music!

music for sure in park, anywhere else no. I always feel like im going to crash into someone if im blasting music just skiing down to the park. When im in the park though, i always listen to music. Even with friends, music helps me concentrate and dial in a trick, and makes landings so much cooler. Just get one of those headphones with the remote on them and youll be set. 999 post /claim

No music in park. Noises help orientate my senses in the right direction !Out of the park, music FTW

I'll listen to music when not with friends but when my mates are around I would want to speak to them the whole so have no music.

I can't stand repeating myself all day trying to talk to a buddy who's blasting tunes...

On the other hand being in the customer service industry, I no longer feel like small talk with strangers, especially if I'm no longer on the clock. So I jam out when riding alone.

I would have to say it depends, if your just messing around and not going to hard i would listen to music. but if its a pow day, nope! you gotta love just getting those face shots and making those turns in the fresh pow. I always take my headphones out tho when im on the chairlift so i can talk to my friends and who ever, unless im by my self ... then i jam out by my self on the chairlift

When I'm with friends I just play it quietly, then when I'm starting my run I turn it up. But I'm always listening to music.

i put my icons over a beanie but held by the helmet strap so i can hear music and everyone else perfectly
