okay, so i just got a new macbook, and i was wondering if there was a way to transfer my music directly from my ipod to itunes

not to mention that my mother deleted all of my music off of itunes, so i cant really just put it onto an external harddrive and transfer it that way...i would be forever grateful

thank you so much ++++karma that saved me the trouble from starting my library from scratch

wow i am so happy right now. i just got a new laptop and ive been looking for something like this ...+++karma

there are so many programs to do this,

music rescue, ipodrip, senuti(free), pretty sure imTOO has one too.

you can also use KCNscrew(google it) to find serials for like all these and way more programs if u want

you dont even need a program. my external hd crashed and it had all my music, so i used this procedure a couple days ago to transfer my music from my ipod to my pc.

1. Plug in your iPod.

2. From the Desktop, go to My Computer and

find the iPod (usually designated by a drive letter.

i e. E: or F:)

3. Open the damn thing.

4. Go to Tools > Folder Options > View (the tab) > scroll

to Show Hidden Files and Folders and click it.

5. Click OK

6. Go back to your iPod folder/drive, there you will find a new folder called

iPod_Control

7. Open it.

8. The Music folder in it will have a bunch of folders named F00,

F01 and so on. THEY HAVE YOUR MP3s. Look through the folders to find your

stuff.

the only problem is that the mp3s have weird names, but once you drag them to itunes, itunes will recognize the name, artist, and all that jazz.
