Music Editing Software.

Alright. I'm tying to do some edit's/ remixes/ mashups/ for some music. Right now, I'm using GarageBand with a few jampacks but it's not working too well. I'm not sure if this is because I don't fully know how to use the program, or if the program just doesn't cut it. What I'm mostly looking for is software that will allow me to adjust more on already made songs imported from iTunes. Does any software like this exist, and if so, what is it?

^it says that you only have 30 days until you need to purchase a license but you don't actually have to if you don't want to

Alright. I downloaded reaper. With this program is it possible to completely rip vocals/basslines/beats off of audio files, and if so, how do I do it?

Thats just about impossible in any program. You can take out certain frequencies and get an alright instrumental but it's still not gonna be too good.

Alright. That's what I was afraid of. I was messing with the frequencies but the problem is the rap vocals I want to isolate are too close to the bass of the song.
