i just got a new comp n i used to have limewire to get my music but it makes it go really slow n stuff...wut do u guys use thats free n wont screw up ur comp

i use limewire and i dont really have problems

i use to use winmx but there wasnt much of a selection. you can try it if you want.

iMesh works pretty well, but if your on a LAN like at college or something, its easier to hack people and steal their music right from their computers, That works super well too. I did that alot and I have like 20K songs now

ya i actually no a lot bout comps...limewire made my other comp. go slow of sharing the music its not cause my comp was slow cause it was actually fast

your legs dont hurt from jumping to that conclusion? at the age of 11 i got a cease and desist letter from some company because i used their name so many times on my website. then a year later, i build my own computer (yes, i was 12). over the next 3 years i've rebuilt it many times, modified it, built a few others, and created a succesful online community.

a) its not the programs fault some moron downloaded a virus. most viruses don't make your computer slow, either. the definition of virus has nothing to do with slowing down a computer.

b) the kids who accuse limewire and kazaa of slowing down their computers don't understand the basics of how a comptuter works. they leave tons of applications open in the task bar or whatever, without realizing their system has a limited amount of memory. p2p programs such as those previously mentioned use a lot of memory, but cause no problems if they're terminated once the moron is done downloading his songs.

c) they also have no clue how the fuck the internet works. they leave their limewire or kazaa open, sharing all their files, with tons of people downloading them from them. this will of course use up most of their internet capabilities, leaving AIM and IE lagging.

there might be a post about this already but...

whats that new thing w/ napster? $15 (maybe) a month and unlimited downloading. anyone hear shit about this? revolutionizing the music downloading industry.
