how many of you guys have multiple pairs of skis? i have my all mountain skis and my mogul skis, and im looking into buying some fat backcountry skis. i was wondering if it is common to have multiple skis because im getting loads of crap from friends and family for haveing 2 (soon to be 3) pairs of skis. they all say that i should get one pair for everything, but i dont think that they understand that different skis serve different purposes. what do you guys think?

ok, im glad that im not alone here. my parents are kinda mad that im spending my money on skis when i already have 2 pair. i tell them 'at least im not buying drugs!'

sweet.. im a little worried though, i might be buying a pair of head mojo's but my park skis are about to self distruct, so im going to have to replace those. oh well, i'll solve that problem when i get there.

ya. but i like to grind, and i want to keep the edges in good shape for when i get in to the steeps. i bet they are good in the park. i demoed them last week and they were so light, i like them a lot.

Yeah I usually get 4-5 pairs, park ski, mogul ski, all mountain cruiser, downhill, beaters and or urban

I only have one pair of skis (Line Ostness Dragons), but it's the right tool for the job (telemark freeride). I'm all for matching your skis to your skiing - if a quiver is what you need, a quiver is what you get, right? Some people (like me) need that Bandit XX/B2 go anywhere and do anything ski, while others need their specialized skis (one for park, one for pow, one for moguls) - it's all about gettin' what you need.

I've only got one right now, blue 1080s, but I'm looking to get some pistols for big mountain and powder. If I had the money I'd have another pair of park specific (save the 10s for rails) and a pair of atomics for ripping the groomers and racing.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

I think that most people do have more than just the one pair of skis, since most people do more than one kind of skiing. I’ve got the Line 1260s for park, the Line Skogens for all mountain, and Line Motherships for big mountain. But for most people it comes down to money. But the investment into different types of skis is worth it, ski'um for what they are designed for, and they will last alot longer.
