Multiple Mounts

ok so i've been looking for skis for next season still and a friend of mine is selling a pair of lizzies used half a season (he got picked up by k2 thats reason for selling) for around 250. Heres the catch, they have 2.5 mounts. 1 mount for rossi axial 120 bindings, 1 for some look binding and then half a mount from changing the heel piece on the look bindings. So my question ns is this a safe ski for me to use for probably the next 2 seasons, keep in mind unless my look bindings fit a previous drill pattern then i will be putting a 3rd mount on these skis giving them a total of 3.5 mounts. Heres my info... I am 5'1 100 lbs i recently started hucking bigger cliffs (like 20-30 ft) so i am worried about these breaking. I ski about 70% park 20% pow 10% groomers. I dont go huge in park (spins up to 5 forward and switch) but i do hit rails a lot. Theres probably some info i missed so just let me know.

lol. is there anymore core to drill into?

anyways, if you posted a pic it might be helpful. it depends on where all the mounts are relative to each other. I would say they are pretty much toasted though. :-/ 2.5 is a lot of mount action. You don't want too many holes, cause then it def weakens the ski. If you mounted you would have to mount in a patter that is far away from any previous holes. You are pretty small though, so maybe it wont matter as much.

All in all, if they are free, I would take them. I wouldnt pay for them.

Fuck that. Its a soft ski and with swiss cheese like that, theres a good chance it will snap in half. I did it with a jp once.

And if your friend just got picked up by k2, he shouldnt be punkin you like that, trying to sell 2.5 mounted used skis. what a fag.

how different is ur sole lengths? are u using the same bindings? if ur only remounting the toe piece and using the same binding, might not be bad, just make sure to helicoil those suckers. theres a few possibilities that might make it worthwhile

most skis can take 3 mounts total.. so i would say your riding that thin line of too many and just enough...so i would say its your call, i would say hold out just cuz $250 isnt a bad deal but you can probably find something better for just as cheap and drilled less.

Just use the old holes, it'll be fine. I remounted into old holes in old Skogens (like 00/01 model) and they held up to a shitload of abuse, no issues whatsoever. And Line's quality back then was horrible.

my lil freind had som invaders and he is like 5'3" and he ripped the binings out of fresh holes 4 times so id say they still ahve horrible quality

yeah my invaders are trashed, i have duct tape holding my edge in on one toe and multiple cracked edges, to answer a question from above we have dif boot sizes so it wouldnt work to remount into the same holes, maybe for either a heel piece or a toe piece but not both, also they are this years (07/08), ile see if i can get warrantee with them and then maybe it would make things more worth while since then if i did snap them i could get warantee, also how long is lines warantee?

did u buy with 2 mounts or did your feet just grow a lot? cause that doesnt really make sense to me i mean unless your boot size changed then you'd still be mounting dead centre

I wouldn't... you'll be able to find this year's Anthems below $300 during the summer or by next season anyway. Brand new, that is.

Had someone elses bindings on them, took them off, replaced with mine, mine broke, got new ones put on. = 3. Different drill patterns
