This sucks. I have 3 fractures in my talus, a ligament chipped off with a piece of the bone. I had surgery yesterday, 3 screws in my foot, 8-10 weeks no walking, so ski season is over :/ Have any of you guys had similar injuries? How was recovery like? Im hoping to start PT within a few weeks so I can strengthen my ankle enough to bike this summer. Post Netflix recommendations in the comments.

Never that specifically injuries suck. Play video games and eat shitty food and hopefully pt goes well and you come out 100%. Best of luck man

If you don't have a summer settup maybe get some plans going for that and even though you prolly can't build till you're healed up it might give you something to look forward to.

Vibes for a speedy recovery. [tag=129716]@DeebieSkeebies[/tag] might have some info for you.

Cut my foot really bad over the summer. Shattered the big toe entirely as well while it was mostly severed + ligament damage + permanent nerve damage. Its much better now but my metatarsal and or whatever is pretty jacked and much more stiff now, hurts to walk sometimes, skiing isnt bad. Roughtly 7 weeks with a pin in my foot with no walking or anything.

I got addicted to LivePD and rewatched all the good HBO shows. Started gaming a bunch once I was able to move a bit more but not a whole lot of movement still. Try hobbling around your house and if its nice enough outside, going for little breaks outside while youre laying around. I was hurt all summer so being able to go and chill on my patio in the afternoon was nice

In hindsight I probably should have just chilled until ski season started because working the last few months of golf season were pretty fucking painful but I wasnt on much hard duty. Still sucked to walk. Its better but I got a nice limp now. Dont fuck up the recovery because this itll be with you for life

I also got into a little gym routine after wasn't going to PT as much as I needed too. Lots of leg workouts + doing the same exercises you do in PT. Runnings gonna suck now so I hope youre not a big runner.

Vibes bro, I'm glad you're doing better now. I got a lil knee scooter thing so I can get around my apartment but this sucks. I'm supposed to start PT in 3-4 weeks, and hopefully by then I'll be a little more mobile. I'm in a hard cast for another 2 weeks, then a walking boot I can take off for PT, but still no walking for a while. It kinda sucks because our apartment is on the 3rd floor in Northern VT so theres a ton of snow outside, kinda hard to get outside on crutches haha. I've been trying to do a little bit of yoga/ upper body exercises because I'm getting stir crazy sitting on the couch all day.

Hit some black ice driving home from work last week, head on collision at about 40mph

vibes. I watched every Level 1 movie multiple times. Also searched out every other ski movie I could find and basically watched all the content on NS. sounds like major pain
