Mt Snow Opening Date???

MT SNOW, iv been impressed with everything u'v done this year, but there was no point putting in a carinthia terrain park system if ur gonna charge $69. Thats wayyy to steep for november skiing, u lost me+7 friends this weekend

It looks like there will be two maybe three jumps in the Gulch (the old Un-blanco) around 20-25 footers. Rails and boxes are all medium sized plus a few more surprises if the snow cooperates.
 
dont you mean in the old diablo? the old gulch would be next to the canyon quad.

all you guys complaining...halloween was free, so 2 days for 69, better skiing then anywhere else = good deal.

but if you dont wanna go then dont, i heard its gunna suck anyway.

Does Mt Snow offer discounts to employees of other mountains?
 
do you mean "the gulch" at carinthia? or "un blanco gulch" at canyon??? ahah i need to know where to go first run
 
I know first run I am going down the hill...never been to mt snow...gonna be an adventure. See you sunday
 
^exactly. all the park trails are on carinthia now, so dont park at main lodge. the gulch is where diablo used to be 3 or 4 years back, they just used the same name as last year for a diff trail. and nitro is right under the quad

that goes up carinthia, so you shouldnt have trouble finding where to go.

for those "3 or 4 smaller lifts" that will be open, any chance 1 will be the double next to the real gulch?
 
its gonna have to be open or else the only way to get to the gulch would be taking the main quad up to the top and take long john down to pyruvite since u wont be able to get to the gulch straight from nitro quad so im gonna say that it will probably be opn.
 
and whats the problem with that? thats the way it was last year, 2nd weekend of the season. If the heavy metal double isn't open, then take long john to gulch, nothing new. Mineshaft isn't open yet so a direct path isn't usable, im gunna go out on a limb and say that the double wont be running
 
I will gladly not go to Mt Snow if it means I don't have to ski on the same mountain as your douche ass...
 
what is with you and twa? seriously...

and am930, that was the way it was last year. you went to the top of carithia and skied down to gulch. by the end of the day they had ski patrol sitting in various places telling people to go down slowly because so many beginners had complained of the park rats "flying" down the trails and being "dangerous". so itl be interesting to see if they do infact open the double, or if the same problem/"danger" will still exist this year.
 
dude c'mon. "go back to killy...." thats not exactly the most friendly comment. skierX isn't really an MS hater, not to say TWA is, but skierX definitely isnt.
 
eh maybe your right. go back to killy was prolly just a joke, but with all the hate on ms lately from a couple kids, and all the complaining about ticket prices is just getting annoying, so thats prolly why it was said.

I have nothing but respect for MS, and it's shown, but I hate your attitude on these forums.

 
Theres nothin to hate on, 7 jumps, tons of rails, all well built and maintained throughout the day by a steelo park crew. Amazing
