Mt Snow Opening Date???

Anybody want to speculate or actually know when Snow will be opening up this year? I'm prayin it'll be soon, I can't wait much longer. And they've got all the new snowmaking shit this season...
 
that would be fucking FANTASTIC. i knew they would be pulling something like last year off except way better
 
so worth it. just campout in the car overnight and ski 2 days...

and yeah they're lookin realistically nov 1st right now, but weather does have to cooperate in the next few weeks

oh but once you get there...not only the mtn itself, but the people that day...deff worth the trip.

i think im gonna skip halloween this year just so i can ski fine the next day. that or have it at ms on sat haha

Me and at least one of my friends will be in full costume, we probably wont even change from the night before. Halloween at uconn is fun

Hey hey, long time no talk. How was your summer? You're probably wondering about opening day...

As

soon as we get a cold snap long enough to blow snow and keep that snow

on the ground, we'll fire up the fan guns. The overriding goal is to

get summit-to-base skiing open as soon as the weather allows. We plan

to have a terrain park on day one, and who knows, maybe we'll open a

small park even earlier on Launch Pad like we did last year on October

29, 2008.
 
if anyone cares to know, i work for stratton right now and the upper managment seems to call bullshit on mt snow for trying for nov 1st, then again stratton is more corporate then mt snow so who knows.
 
shit, if they pull that off, that's as early an opening as i can remember. they did such a baller job with everything last year, they're headed in such a sick direction. enjoy it for me... im sending lots of mount snow love from co.
 
Yeah I mean, it's not a horrible statement, considering it's nearly impossible to predict the weather. However, they've made it perfectly clear that if it's cold enough, they'll make snow. I hope to god they pull it off though (assuming the weather cooperates), it will be the perfect start to an epic season.
 
its going to be a low of 29 friday, and saturday, than on tuesday 22, so i would think they will fire it up, um hopefully!
 
Looks like we are turning the corner on cooler temps. Dry weather overall too. I'm still skeptical of the 1st, but definitely the 7th.

They'll have a little jibpark setup for the 1st, but I just doubt they will be running the lifts.

dont forget weather.com im pretty sure doesn't incorporate altitude into their temps so chances are it will be cooler at the summit
 
forecast for stratton mountain this saturday : high of 43, low of 16, yes thats right 16 degrees. keep your hopes up boys.
 
starting tomorow night it looks like temps will be low enough to blow. and according to noaa, monday has a 30% chance of rain/snow.
