That was a sick POV vid, shane. I watched it the same morning we got that storm, but I was stuck in class. Fortunately, I had a computer, but I almost yelled when I recognized the stump-drop in the trials. Man, you just sent it. You think there would be enough room to spin a 3 off it? The landing's pretty tight, but if you take it slower, you can hit it as a double stager.
MS is overall quite flat, with the exception of ripcord and skiers right on the north face. However, there are a few short steeps and some fun drops. I am hesitant to share because they all seem to get tracked out quickly, but I'm not skiing there as much as I used too, so I'd like people to enjoy them.
The stump drop that shane hit it that vid. is close to the boundary edge of the trials, but has a typical flattish landing.
There is a 7+/- ft. drop skier's right of lower challenger that you can see from the challenger lift, so it gets a good amount of use. The outrun is long, so you can spin it or even practice switch pow landings.
There are a bunch of super tech drops in the plunge. You'll have to find those.
Between snowdance and canyon, there is a fun little chute/ cliff that's kind of hard to find.
Over on the sundance face, there's a good 6ish foot cliff thats at the bottom and skier's right.
There are a few small drops in sap tapper on the main face.
Between Beartrap and Sundance is a fun face that noone ever skis, but it has very thick cover. Possible area to do some low-impact, sustainable clearing in the summer? Anyone down?
Where exactly is the river run cliff? Below the bank there?
Enjoy.
