Mt SNOW Closing Day

well last year they closed april 26th or something rediculous like thati don't see how this year would be any different

I heard the mountain was closing April 12th but Carinthia would remain open for a while after that, only on weekends. I'm not sure how valid that is though

i concur. thats what i've heard. supposedly theres a railjam at the end of april, and the end of may too

Sorry to jack ur thread, but I figured this'd be a good way to get some local input. My friends and I are headed up to ride Sat and Sunday. From weather.com it's looking like its pretty shitty up there.

But I'm hoping they're wrong. How's the snow? Is park crew keeping it all pretty hittable or are they starting to do the ol spring wind down?

Sunday's looking like sure fire rain, and rain tonight. I hope it aint true.

It's still in top shape. Snow might be melting a little, but the park crew has been on their game all year. You'll have a good time, even in the rain.

i was up yesterday and its deff getting thinner. still top to bottom coverage, and for the most part the main parts of the trails have a lot of snow left. mostly just along the sides that are starting to show through.

i heard after they close the main mountain there gonna start pushing all that snow over into carinthia

they definitely wont do that. Carinthia will stay open only on the weekends after the main mountain closes. I wouldn't count on that being very many weekends either. new management doesn't give a fuck.

....your a retard. how does the management not care? Mtbro was open Halloween day, and ran a lift November 1st. mt snow management and peak resorts kill it. shut your gob

that came off harsh actually. maybe they dont care about their employees, but i feel their love for the customer and park skier has increased tremendously from the past years at mtsnow. they've done a lot of work towards park skiing this year and i hope they continue to do so throughout april

Yeah so I've got a 5hr drive ahead of me so I'll be leaving sometime tomorrow. If somebody rides a morning session (friday morning that is) and wouldn't mind throwing up a little update, it'll give me something to think about on that long ass drive to VT

Status Report!!!!! I'm going to be up there all next week. Anyone else going to be in that particular sector tryin to shred?

truth with rain and 50-60 degree temps the snow will go faster than most think. i am thinking 1 more week after the 12th

i might be up there a few times during my april break which is like the 9th to the 20th or somethin like that. anyone wanna shred gnar let me know

and considering there coverage, they really shouldn't be open that much longer. yes the park is dope, but it is getting slow as fuck, and making lips for big jumps narrower and narrower as you loose snow pack is just unsafe.
however, today was fun as fuck.

yeah the forecast looks terrible but a few of the nights should get below freezing so maybe that will conserve some snow and even allow the groomers to get out there?!?

and i really don't care how bad conditions get...i'll ski in anything. if mt snow kept carinthia open and charged like 40 even 50 bucks i'd be there every weekend.

they were pretty sick having that place opn for preseason with rails and a lift.

i here gulch and inferno are done?

are they planning to build up nitro? I know the base depth is good.

i just want a big booter for this weekend. Got screwed last weekend. Car broke down in bennington

I heard they are trying to have a rail jam this weekend, something like 5 bucks for entry. But who knows if they will pull it off. So i guess we will have to wait and see.

I wouldn't expect anything to change in the parks in terms of new features or building anything up. Its all about the bottom line ($$) and right now the management is more than ready to close for the season regardless of how much snow is up there.

i think its suppose to be decent this week so hopefully they will be open next weekend! I need my ski fix!

cam, don't you have to have to change the ace bandage on your knee??\

and yeah, i fucked up i meant that lifts would be turning on SAT and SUN, no spinning of the lifts on friday unfortunately...but hiking should be fun

sounds good ill probly be thur this weekend.
anyone know the dates of any railjams? i heard there are a few in the next few week

everyone should come and go skiing at mt snow carinthia resort casino terrain park this weekend, because then they'll make bank and reopen the next weekend and the next one after that and so on hurray!

gulch and mineshaft are done. Niitro down to junkyard is where everything is for the most part. The quad is the only lift.

Inferno is still rockin strong. Last weekend it was just the 40 step down, the big rainbow, the 65, then the 60 maybe? not sure how big the second jump is.

im sure those are the biggest jumps on the east, at least open to the public.

this is the last weekend though

i'm going saturday 5 hour drive so pumped to get one more session in before next year. Anyone eles taking a trip up there sat? Should be pretty dooope

Despite no actualy park features i expect plenty of Natural feautres! I am going to find some of the best! Should be up there saturday
