Mt. Snow Closing Date

Can somebody tell me why THE FUCK their projected closing date is april 13th?!?!?! They gotta have enough snow to go on longer than that. I might cry...

A mountains closing date isn't always based on snowpack. Most resort on the west close with tons of snow and it will snow after the lifts close too.

Money.

It costs money to keep a resort running. Usually in the late season, there just aren't enough people skiing for the mountain to feasibly run the resort for so long.

This, resorts basically stop making money after spring break season. It's pretty much only pass holders after a certain date.

Ive never been to mt hood but I've always thought it was like one of the best mountains to ski at in the us so I can't imagine them not getting business even though it is April
