I'm pretty tight with free time with my camp. But Id be down to meet up with some NSs if I can find some time.

On a road trip around NZ in 2 weeks for 3 months. Should be in Turoa mid July we got room for 2 extra people if anyone wants to tag along for any part of the trip! (not the whole duration as it would be to crowded aha)

Funny we just made our rough plan for the north island, we should be around Turoa the 7/8th going to check out some club field called Tukino first. Then heading to Manganui round the 10th (again depending on snow)
 
Got to Ohakune yesterday. Snow is lacking and the winds were a bitch but there was some sun a bluebird for a bit up there. I got a phone today. If anyone wants to meet up get at me and I can toss you the number.

Hoping the snow situation changes soon.
 
Just put in another small flat box today. Medium park has a flat box, left hip, right hip, cannon box, flat box.

Hopefully we get some more snow and can get more stuff in but it has a nice flow and is pretty sick considering the weather.

I'll have a better idea tonight when the rebuild is happening. Might not be till after the rail jam if we end up doing that in the park.

It's still sick right now. You can do a lot with those hips in there right now. The surface is a ton better than it was, we got some decent snow up there.

Even if nothing changes by then 3 jibs and 2 hips in there are a bunch of fun. I'll update when I know more. We have some ideas I just don't want to say anything until it's legit in progress.
 
For those that don't know. Been at an awesome community field called rainbow on South Island building a wee park

Got a small jump into 2 rail options into a spine/bonk feature. Another rail going in tomorrow.
 
^ things are looking pretty good right now despite the slow start. Today was beautiful.

Through a flat box back in at the top with a down box next to it. Hips were still good as well as the cannon and flat box.

The down box was the shreddy feature of the day. Some kids were getting some mean tricks. I dabbled a little bit myself.

Full park rebuild coming after the rail jam. 7 features in right now. Today was packed but we had a pretty raging hike sesh going on different features

Def worth coming up and checking out. I'll update when the rail build is done, I don't want to leak that yet. And when we start rebuilding I'll post what the parks are looking like.

Come shred, say hello or throw things at the people with green jackets and come shred.

The cannon box is super fun man. Also super pumped for the rail jam.

I rode whakapapa today, they got a little park going on. Its a flat bar to a down rail or jump/hip option.

Good to here, last I knew they didn't have anything. Hoping to get over there on a day off once the season really get's rolling.

Also steel order just arrive a couple hours ago. Just got back to the mountain but going over there in a little while to get started on some new stuff.

Might try and put a rail line in up top and some booters soon. Rail jam got postponed again but me and kris used the bad weather days to pump out some new features Didn't want to move the comp again but would rather make it sick and on some good weather.

ME and Kris haven't been on the mountain since last sat or sunday. Going back up tomorrow though and hoping to be able to get some rad stuff in. Rain def did some damage but it's snowing hard right now. I'll update mid day or when I get home with where things are at and the park layout.

Keep your head up everyone and pray this snow stacks up.
 
If the promised snow of the next 3 days or so delivers we might get back to close to it was. Bloody impressed they got it up and going again at Turoa as fast as this... how awful is Clarrie's looking at the moment though? From the cams it looks like Boneyard is maybe 1 cat wide at the bottom, recipe for carnage.

Considering giving it a bash this weekend though, I'm starting to suffer from withdrawal.

I lied about going in today. Go a text last night saying I had the day off. I'll be up there tomorrow though. Hopefully things are looking hopeful up there.
 
whats the park meant to be like this weekend, haven'y been able to get up this season yet and hows the base like on the upper mountain
 
From people I've talked to, cover is pretty decent above ~2000m altitude. Which is about the Giant cafe, I think?

If the snow forecast for Friday comes through then the park might take a bit of digging to be in good shape for the weekend though I imagine they'll have a few features going. Not sure if there's much of a jump line yet.

Park starts out with a flat box or down box side by side. Next is a small 20' ish jump with a nice long steep landing and a u box on the same knuckle. Next is a small 25'ish true table with a big gap on gap off flat box on the same knuckle.

That's it for now. Everything is fresh so tomorrow we're going to get everything finished up and dialed in.

I'd post some pics but it was super flat out. On the plus it was snowing hard all day. Got some powder. Hopefully we keep getting more through the weekend.

Yeah Ill take a few. I have some from today but it was so flat it's not worth throwing anything up till tomorrow.

3-day weekending it to get the most out of this current storm.

Will probably be watching the rail jam, not competing because I suck miserable balls at rails.
