Mt. Hood

Hey who here has gone to Mt.hood in the summer not for a camp.

i heard its pretty good and me and my friend are thinking about driving down there for a week or two this summer and i was wondering if anyone has been there

I havent but if you go in early summer IE june- mid july you should be fine after that the snow get to be a bit low and you may have to hike the park instead of laping the lift.

Its really fun, plus there are lots of hikes and campsites around mt hood. Hood river is a cool town to check out, epic wind surfing place. Portland is a pretty cool city too.
As for the skiing, its really good early in the summer, public park is pretty well done, and its fun in the slush. Unfortunetaly the tickets are fucking expensive and the season pass is crazy

ok there are a million threads on this.

it is expensive. but you can mitigate a lot of the costs by camping at the airstrip for free. figure on $50/day for tickets. or stay for a few weeks and buy a summer pass. mid july is probably the best time to go.

summer pass is like 900

day tickets are either 52 or 55

if you're gonna do it, come mid-late june

late july you're gonna be hiking a lot

iin my honest oppinion u and ur friend could save an ass load of money and not do a camp, just ski all day and chill. depending on the camp tho if u find a cheap one like mhssc tht would be worth it because of the lodging. But the public park in the summer is sick as fuck!
